How has 2021 started out for you? Here in Georgia, it has been a bit warmer than normal, which worries me a little. So many times we have warmer weather early, and then, just as the trees and bushes start to bud out for spring, we get a hard frost and kill the buds. Meaning no fruit or flowers from them.

Blog postI’m having trouble believing that July is just two days away. Anyone else having the same problem?
So far this year, our deck and container gardens are doing well. I have tiny little cucumbers starting to come on and the tomatoes are about to blossom. Oregano is about to take over the deck, so I think it’s time to snip it back and put it in the dehydrator for wintertime use.
And the rosemary is thriving, in spite of the wet weather we’ve been having. Even the thyme, which I’ve7 months ago Read more -
Blog postYes, Summer is almost upon us, and the past two days have given us a preview of it here in Georgia.
So what else has been happening in my world?
We had a solid week of drizzle and rain, with temperatures in the 60’s. So now, during the past two days, the rain has ended and the temperatures have soared into the 80’s. Great for the tomatoes, but I’m not so keen on the shift.

Blog postAt least, I think it is. We’ve had most of a week of dark, drizzly rain here lately, so it’s not looking particularly summery. About a week ago, we had temperatures up in the 70’s and there was a definite promise of summer in the air.
Which got me to thinking about sunscreen.
