Melody of Us is a well crafted romance novel with everything the genre best represents: love found, love lost, love regained stronger, family dynamics, and a happy ending. It also had enough tension and uncertainty to almost be a thriller. Melody of Us reminded me of Sandra Brown's early work; Jullia Bade has a great deal of potential.

As other reviewers have noted, the manuscript would have benefited from another careful copy edit. Julia, I'm happy to offer to do that for your future work (at no cost) just for the privilege of an early reading.

This book was a pleasant surprise from an author unknown to me. I really enjoyed the characters and the plot. It felt very realistic. I did find the title to be misleading about the story's direction. I also think the book could have benefitted from a better editing job and professional formatting. There were quite a few errors that persisted throughout. But I was able to overlook them and finish the story. There are several places where the paragraph formatting has been lost which make it distracting.

The Way Back to Us is an AMAZING love story!!! I didn't know who to cheer for. I loved the Hyatt brothers and Lexy. So many emotions in this book and talk about crying like a baby. I want more of Max and Lexy. I hope Simon gets his own book. I loved all the characters. Julia is a new author to me and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. The Way Back to Us is a MUST read. I devoured it.

I'm pleased to say that even as a loyal historical fiction reader stepping away from my comfort zone was completely worth it. I was drawn in by the realistic drama from the very beginning and curiosity kept me going from that point up until the last page. I personally believe that the authors ability to make you feel as though you can relate to the characters even if you've never been in their situation was remarkable. I highly recommend this book!
