These Winter elves seem to have soo many rules they are supposed to follow but everything we learn seems to be in the fly as we go along .
I love a wolf where Santa is a real thing, especially one where Santa sounds like a sweet and kind but also a bad A who looks like a tatted up silver fox w/yummy muscles.
But we are told soo little about this world 🌍
Stuff just seems to happen in a story, that seems to play out in about a weeks time, where everything just seems to rush by at a pace where things don’t always make sense and you don’t really get a chance to get connected or get a chance to ready care about what’s going on.
This is a world where supposedly you also has all different kinds of paranormals possibly running around ,but like I said ,little to no world building and there wasn’t enough depth for this story or characters to really take root for me.
Not sure why but I just love stories w/Jack Frost in them . I love the idea of finding your fated mate as a child .
Soo this excited me but I didn’t feel like I really got to know Jack and I was disappointed how after at least a decade apart not only did we not get to see them stop to really reconnect, we weren’t given a chance to see how they first met o learn more about what drew them together to begin with.
Little 8 year old Jack proposing and marring a 6 year old Ginger would have been soo cute and I think we needed to see that . Or as least something to help tie us into everything .
Honestly I think the story is based on a really neat idea but in my humble opinions here just not enough here.
It’s nice but it feels rushed and just needs more.
That’s just me.
But Congrats to the writer foe getting her story out and published ,some of us are still struggling to get past our fears. I know it’s not easy.
The love between Jack and Ginger is absolutely adorable and sweet. You just can't help but root for them. The scene in the diner with Jack was too funny and any scene with Donner had me cracking up. I would absolutely recommend this book if you want an out of the box Christmas love story with some familiar lovable characters.

New author for me and it passed a pleasant evening and though I would have liked it to be more detailed with background, it was okay as it was.
Will read the next book if it is about Nick.
