A stiffer plastic than the skoon cup I have - It would be a good cup for those who are having difficulty in their cups opening all the way and leaking. It also might be too stiff for a novice - it doesn't fold down as compactly - so use your best judgement. I bought it because I thought the ring handle would make it easier to remove - It does give a little big better grip than the stem kind - I especially recommend it if you have long fingernails, as the hole isn't big enough to get a whole finger in there. There are only 2 tiny side holes in this model, which still works fine. I love the fact that it comes with a tiny little brush to clean them, though I'll never use it. (I prefer the squirt cleaning method) It's nice to have 2 cups to switch out back and forth so you don't have to run to the sink to wash one off and tun back to the stall to put it back in. These cups are so much nicer than pads or tampons! I wish I had tried them sooner.
Too soft! I haven't had kids, maybe that's why, but for me this doesn't hold up to my pelvic floor muscles :/ I still haven't really leaked, but the cup is smashed everytime I empty it so I think a leak is bound to happen :/
I was surprised at how tiny this was and wouldn't recommend this for anyone with a heavy flow. It leaks quite a bit. I read that the main reason menstrual cups might leak is because it might not have opened up all the way but I've given it a few tries and had issues every time. I've also discovered that the circle pull is not as easy as a normal one because it doesn't have grips.
I have the clear classic small and medium MeLunas with ring handles and I love them. They are very soft which means there's a steeper learning curve for inserting and removing them. However, the advantage of soft cups is that you can't feel them at all! And, if you have a sensitive bladder (like me), the cup isn't constantly pressing against it and urging you to go to the bathroom. I really like how comfortable the MeLuna is; it's my go-to cup. I also like how small the small size is, it's perfect for those light days because you can put it in and completely forget about it for 12 hours.
