I mostly wanted to comment on the review below. These CD-R's will NOT WORK with Philips or other stereo-component-style CD-R burners. Those manufacturers have chosen to follow a standard that only allows you to use a "Music" CD-R, which costs more because they pay some standard royalties to popular artists. That sucks! Anyway, only buy these CD-Rs if you are using a computer-component type of CD burner. And, if you have a computer, never buy a stereo component of this type, just do it on your computer instead :-)

I have purchased Memorex CDRs and I know people who have too and these work wonderfully. I have had bad luck with other CDRs, Memorex I have not. I will continue to buy from them. I own a Smart and Friendly drive.

If you're looking for a dependable line of blank CD-Rs then look no farther. Memorex's line of CD-Rs is by far the best there is. I have yet to burn a coster or find a bad one in the bunch. Perfect for both music and data. Worth the price and very worth your time.

I must say, These Memorex CD-Rs are no good. I have a HP CD-Writer Plus, and I can burn perfect on all other brands of CD-Rs (Maxell, Fujifilm, ACER) But I tried these Memorex CD-Rs and I have nothing but problems. Music, Data, whatever you want to do, they just will not work!

I purchased two boxes of these Memorex CD-Rs to use with an HP CD Writer Plus (Like the reviewer below). I, however, have been quite happy with the purchase. While 1 out of the 20 Cds did malfunction, that's not a bad average especially considering the price. These play and sound just as well as any of the more expensive CD-Rs and also have more useful liner notes. I have recorded both data and music on these CD-Rs and except for one bad disc, everything was flawless. I'll be buying more of this product as should anyone who wants some great CD-Rs without shelling out the big bucks.

To date, I have purchased four boxes of these discs. I have used 4 other brands of CDR discs and these work better and more efficiently then any of the others. I use these for music purposes as well as hard drive backup and data storage. These discs have NEVER failed and I don't think they ever will. Not only did they work for me on my Memorex CDR/CDRW but they worked for 3 of my friends and each of them used a different brand of CDR/CDRW drive. I am so pleased with these CDRs that I have already purchased another box, making my total purchases so far five boxes. I cannot stress to anyone enough how great these discs are. If you want reliable, efficient, and high performance CDR discs, these are the only ones. You will never find these kinds of superior CDR discs for a cheaper price. Buy some now!

On the statement "These CD-Rs only work with computer components." I have a Harman Kardon CDR 2 and these CD-Rs work and sound beautiful. I'm not sure why you said they only work with computers. Unless, you are referring to the computer CD-Rs, in which case-say so! These CD-Rs are music, not the computer variant, if there is one (not sure on that one). Anyway- kinda weird, but I can assure you that these CD-Rs work wonderfully in my Harman Kardon, and they sound great. I have heard that there have been troubles with the Philips brand of burners, but I attribute that to operator error (i.e. buying the wrong discs). Please shop carefully.
