I have your attention? Great... Read. This. Book. Show of hands here... who knows this feeling... You're watching a movie, following along just swimmingly, and suddenly - BAM!! - you've got it figured all out! Not "I think I got it," but "why didn't I see it sooner?" Next thing you're bouncing up and down like a dog high on peanut butter, chucking popcorn at your friends who are just too slow to see it! Nope? Just me? Fine. Anyway, according to my Kindle, I'm sitting there at 64% and it clicks. And just five minutes later..."Occam's Razor." You little scamp, Joe.
Anyway, no spoilers. Just read the book. Tell me when you have your "aha moment."
And Joe? Get back to writing!
However, some phrases, words and *ahem* stores were a bit repetitive. The twists and turns made up for it. The "ah-ha" moment of the book literally made me say "no effing way" out loud.
My one real complaint is the synopsis of the story on the buy page is no where near what this book is ultimately about to me. I bought the book thinking I was reading a creepy ghost story/mystery, I was way off. I had no idea what I was actually getting in to. Although I've read it and didn't hate it, if I had known what the story actually involved, I may not have bought it.
This book has everything. It reminded me of something Stephen King would write, and has a huge King fan, I couldn’t have been happier.
If you don’t mind some brilliantly disturbing scenes and a wonderful paranormal plot. Check out this book. The twists and turns will keep you guessing until the end.
The story takes the reader on a roller-coaster ride that leave you honestly wondering what is going to happen next and not wanting to put the book down. This isn't your typical ghost story!
