"An epic book that spans the lives of richly developed characters and captures a time of idyllic innocence while suggesting secrets that portend another inevitable conclusion. This is not a simple genre piece but a true literary work, a thinking man's novel, lushly descriptive of an era, humorous but poignant, and expertly plotted. The author has not only given us a wonderful novel but a piece of his heart."
-Patrick Kendrick, Award-winning author of "Extended Family" and "Papa's Problem"
"Entertaining, Surprising and Fun. Richard Wickliffe's "Memories of Holly Woode" draws you into the excitement of an adventurous life, lived in a past era of simplicity, candor, and romance. Bolstering an engaging storyline with historical fact and period artwork, Wickliffe takes us on an enjoyable emotional journey, allowing us to vicariously 'live the dream' while ultimately leading to an assessment of how close we are to our own."
-Jim Hamilton, author of "It's All About Her."
"Based on the distinctive storytelling of Richard Wickliffe's saga, "Memories of Hollywood," it was chosen as a nominee in HBO's Project Greenlight -out of over 5,000 projects."
-Fred Gonnello, HBO / LivePlanet's Project Greenlight
About the Author
Richard Wickliffe's screenplay version of "Memories of Holly Woode" was a nominee in HBO's Project Greenlight. In addition to the art and photography created for this novel, Rich's art and photography have been sold as prints, used in Forbes Travel magazine and exhibited in Fort Lauderdale's Art Guild. His first novel, a crime thriller "Tropical Windfall," was published as part of an Amazon crime-writing competition. He's been published in the business field, and being happily unbalanced, has performed stand-up comedy (hence the odd mix of drama and humor.) He's had a recent film project acquired by Twentieth Century Fox. Rich resides, writes and plays in South Florida.
