Spoilers beware:
The h, an erotic romance author finds she has a stalker - who stalks her on the Internet, sends her hate texts and emails, KOs her car - so she tries to find help. No one believes her, in fact everyone without fail seems to think she's an attention/publicity seeking fake that I'm wondering the h didn't get a persecution complex.
She even thinks :
“In some ways, finally getting murdered would be a relief. She was totally putting “I Told You So” on her tombstone”
Yeah. Not funny.

h doesn't have the best support system. Her parents have passed on, she lost her friends to her ex in the divorce, she has 2/3 close writer friends who she trusts but noone else. She was so busy trying to establish herself in her career that she didn't date. The ex is also suing her for money now.
The book is set in a world where the H's are Doms and frequent BDSM clubs, so they have the Dom-sub equation going on with the h. The h is submissive.
In some ways I liked the h, she was a messy artist type, spaced out at a random moments, kept muttering to herself, was always curious about stuff she could use in her novels, had quirky routines that made me laugh and was a softie. She was good at her job and financially successful, so that was admirable.
But she was also too soft apologising all the time even when the H's were being asses, on the verge of tears every other minute, one of those h's who say 'Oh, no I won't fall for this guy' and gives in every time because he's sooo hot. She was always putting herself down( in addition to everyone else who was doing the same thing), had body issues. She stayed in a bad marriage for years - and she was ashamed of herself for that, she was ashamed for crying all the time for being weak, for being awkward.

The synopsis on this book interested me. The book itself did not. The two heros, Jake and Adam were supposed to be hard core doms but I don't think the author did any research on what a Dom should be like. They also didn't deserve Serena because after promising her forever, they kicked her out saying they don't ever want to see her again because they think they had proof she was lying to them. Hello! If you really loved her you would have known she didn't lie and you would have sat down with her to discuss what you found. Then, when they realized they were wrong, they really didn't do any grovelling. But instead they were mad at her because she wouldn't respond to them any more (duh, you just completely destroyed the trust she had for you) and even said that the first fight they had she was ready to bail on the relationship. Excuse me but you two were the ones that were kicking her out of your house calling her a liar and slut etc. So the first thing that comes up YOU bailed on Her. The morning after you proclaimed "Mine!Mine! Mine!" Then, you allowed her to be taken when you were supposed to be guarding her, you along with 2 or 3 other "doms" and several cops. How did that happen. To top it off there was no real erotica in this. A couple of bland couplings and that was it (for those of you who were reading this for some hot romance). I think this could have been a good book if jake and Adam were true doms and if they really did love Serena. Maybe the author can tear it apart and start over to make this worth the money they are asking for this. Until then, don't waste your money. There are way too many good ménage books out there.

As intriguing as Jake and Adam's relationship was in "The Dom Who Loved Me", my anticipation and expectations for their story was GREAT! And, as the title teases, I was really expecting a LOT of MENAGE and D/s between the three characters. However, I found this story got too bogged down in explaining menage and D/s relationships and explaining (extensively) being an author of erotica. There was so much 'explanation' there was very little (or no) HOTNESS and very little actual menage and D/s. I will continue to watch for the next "Masters and Mercenaries" but hope that Liam's story is more like Sean's -- HOT HOT HOT!!!!

Again, much like The dom who loved me, this storyline is pure fantasy as life would never happen like this, but once again who cares! Once again Adam and Jacob are looking for the perfect girl to complete their threesome after losing the potential of Grace to Sean. In walks the beautiful BDSM author Serena who just happens to need bodyguards as she has recieved threats. Of course Adam has pegged her straight away as being the potential"one" that he and Jake needs, if he can just convince Jake to feel the same. I had a hard time trying to understand the relationship between Jake and Adam. I still can't understand the need to share one girl and yet they are not gay, but can't live without each other. I thought that was weird as I couldn't figure out why the didn't both just find a girl and live together and then they could all share, but I digress. Anyway, Adam and Jacob get closer to Serena as they show her personally what a BDSM lifestyle is about while she's in the midst of their protection, and how they would love to make her a part of their life permenetly. Even though I found the storyline a little weird, I loved Adam and Jacob and the humorous dialogue between them all. It's a great follow up to the dom who loved me.
