Hello Folks,

There are twenty-five Skirmish (can Cooperative play these) and 50 Multiplayer maps! These maps can be huge & take 1/2 hour+ to complete each one. You'll need practice on the game mechanics & user interface before enjoying the game.

Wonderful graphics and sound effects. Very nice map scenery. Developers try to model close to "reality", but also cut-in some game play-ability realities. Begin with Company of Heroes and graduate to playing this game; it is much more "realistic". And, the attention to detail is a nice touch. For instance, your flamethrower burns out the enemy in a house, the nearby trees catch on fire, and, as the house burns down, you get neat window glass breaking sounds throughout the house...Form and separate units at will: You can have any type of units in same squad, then disband them and reform another infantry group.

No, you don't get a paratrooper squad where you can hit a fire-up button which makes them Supermen. Machine gun fire doesn't suppress, it will kill your men quickly. It doesn't take eight squads of engineers to kill one infantry man in a squad; snipers can't stand in front of a MG Bunker and not get killed; there is no population cap, no base building, and therefore, no base rushing. Blob attacks will get you decimated. There is no cute button you can hit and all of your units magically retreat in a hurry. No "millimeter health left" on a tank, that is also magically healing itself, as it retreats. And so on...

Annoying: Overview map - INF are dots, Vehicles are arrows: "Where the heck are my Engineers? Oh crap, where is the guy with the toolbox?" Micromanaging units can be over-the-top when your numbers grow large in battles.

I bought this game on a whim and I love it. The download was smooth, and it runs on Steam. In terms of the game, it reminds me a lot of Command And Conquer without a limitation as to how many units I can have. Oh, and you don't have to build barracks and all that crap. No building at all actually. Also, the units are representative of WWII military units. As another reviewer mentioned, managing all the units can become difficult when you have people all over the place. Overall, I'm impressed with the graphics and the gameplay.

I played this game and loved it over last couple days, but I got a friend to get a copy and join me, and found out I was missing a huge chunk of the game since I messed up and didn't by the steam code from amazon like I wanted to. Basically the one you get if you get the amazon digital copy is horribly outdated, like about 1 gig in patches outdated. Its missing 15 units, and tons of tweaks and fixes. Of course the real kicker is finding the patches, the game doesn't offer patches at their sight they expect you to be running on steam and download the most current files.

I am going on a wild goose chase right now downloading 3 patches including a 858 meg patch so I can see if I can patch them in one at a time to play with my pal who didn't use an old amazon gift card to get his, he just went to steam directly. For those who did get the amazon copy here is a link for all known patches to the game [...] well its the site you have to copy paste it in since I am not sure if that counts as a product link.

Hopefully in the next 20 mins I can play with my friend who is already doing side stuff now, and I can get him back to the keyboard before I get bored and do side things.

Excellent game ! I have played this game for months and it is great fun. If you like RTS game this is a absolute must. I particular like the multi player games. In fact it is the only ones I play. Compared to other RTS games this is much more realistic. Pretty much every unit can destroy the heaviest tanks, if the are used skill fully and you have a little luck. Have a infantry man lurking in a bush, and have him throw an anti tank grenade on the back of the mighty King Tiger. And it goes up in flames. A good player can really make a difference in this game. This makes it a lot of fun, and it takes a long time to perfect your skills. I have played this game for a year and I'm still learning and developing new tactics. It might take a bite of effort to get into the game, but it really pays of. Every game evolves differently.

There is a pretty complex engine to determine, when a tank gets completely destroyed, so you have to know were to place your shoots. Most of the time tanks just get immobilised or the turret gets destroyed and can be fixed, if you can retrive your tank. Just as important as knowing where to place a good shoot, is knowing how to place your tank. Side and rear armour is generally very weak, so learning how to position your tank is very important. The game engine also takes into account how the armour is sloped compared to a incoming round. Sometimes angeling your tank a little can make all the difference.

The graphics look good and the developers are continuously updating the game with new units, and gameplay improvements. Pretty much every building on the map can be used as cover or can get destroyed in spectacular explosions, so the maps is constantly changing.

Great game!
