Beautiful story of love and compasion!!!
This is my favorite trilogy from this author. If you think you know what will happen in this book then let me tell you , no you don't . I find absolutely amazing how this story has so much love and compassion that now in days is hard to find or see. The name "Mending Hearts" it's a true fit for this book. I absolutely love it and will recommend it. ~By N. Bradford

A very good read
Brenda Kennedy has a unique way of keeping you in her stories. As I have read all three books in this Trilogy. You can't wait for the next book. She touches on all types of real life, and gives them a happy ending.

This book had you go through every emotion - you will laugh, cry, be angry and it is all worth it. A brilliant end to a brilliant trilogy and I am glad I had the pleasure to read and review books. By Fee

Where do I begin, once again Brenda has made another masterpiece! I love reading Brenda’s books not only does she draw you into her characters and make you love them but she adds new people to each one of her books and you get to watch them grow and fight through their own struggles. Emma and Alac have been through so much no only by themselves but as a family. If I had to choose two words to best describe Mending Hearts it would be “closure” and “happiness”. Brenda has a great way of throwing curve balls at you halfway through the book, where you think the characters are never going to find peace in their lives, but don’t let that foul you, things always turn around in the end. Mending hearts will have you laughing, crying, and best of all smiling. I don’t want to give too much away so if you’re ready to read the perfect book to end an amazing trilogy Mending Hearts is it! Thank You Brenda for letting me be one of your Beta Readers it is always a pleasure!

I was gifted an ARC of this book from the author and here is my honest review. I am starting to cry just thinking of how I want to word my review. I don't usually write any spoilers but I have to warn you that there might be a few in this review. I don't think it can be helped. This is the third book in The Freedom Trilogy and for me, the best of the three. I encountered every emotion possible when reading this book.. sadness, happiness, anger, confusion, hysteria, love and so many, many more. There are so many key points to the book that had me laughing or crying or sighing. I love that the book is written not from the main character or from the two main characters point of views but from practically all of the main characters. I think there are parts that only they can discuss and that is what the author does and I love it. I have never seen that in a book before but thought it was very important to the plot developement. I really don't want to spoil it for anyone but I wanted to point out a few of my favorite parts. As far as Max, the hero that died for out country, boy did I have a hard time saying goodbye to him. I literally sobbed. Also the first letter that Molly got from Bobby, wow, talk about emotional. And the school shooting is something that would affect anyone but I reside close to a school that is mentioned in the book and was national news after a horrendous incident not too long ago. For all of the crying I did, I did an equal amount of laughing, if not more. The book signing was hilarious and when Alec talked about the mushrooms, I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. There are so many other amazing parts of this book and dare I say I can't wait for a "Magical Christmas"??? I wish I could give this book much more than five stars. It is wonderful and I recommend it to anyone who likes to laugh, cry and live happily ever after. Thank you Brenda.

I couldn't wait for this book to be released. I normally love books by brenda kennedy, she is a fabulous author. I gave all her other books 5 star reviews, however I could not rate this one above a 3. This book was written through many characters eyes, including at one point a child's point of view. I do not have a problem with that. But I found myself reading the same material back to back just from two different characters. If I was getting new information this would have been ok but a few time it was almost verbatim.
I am not sorry I bought this book and was happy how the series ended. I love that both Emma and Molly were about to get past what Molly did and became friends. I also love that they both got there happily ever after. Molly's wedding was a perfect ending.

Love how this series ended Alex, Emma, James and Raelynn what a love this family had for each other - shows how love can heal all kinds of hurt in one's life - losing a parent through death or some other outside influence is hard and to be able to move on and find love again is amazing. Emma has such a big heart to be able to allow the ex into her life and home, but what a testament to showing how to be an extremely loving person. Can't wait for the story of the others.

I'm glad I continued with the Trilogy because this 3rd book pulls everything together. The first two books in the series are total cliffhangers and this third book is a "must read" to find out how Emma's story finally turns out. It's well worth the read, and I'm happy to report that everything does work out for all the characters concerned. But a warning to readers--because this author is a fan of cliffhangers, be prepared to sign up to read all three books--it's not a trilogy where only one of the three can be read and have the reader satisfied; and in my opinion, they should be read in sequential order in order to make sense of the story line. But . . .the turn of events is well worth the purchase and read of all three books.

After reading Shattered Dreams the first book in the Freedom Trilogy, I reviewed it and noted that I was shocked at how it ended, even though I really enjoyed the book. Immediately I knew I had to purchase books two and three to learn what happened to these amazing people. I am including in my review both books after finishing them. As I was reading I realized I had read numerous other books by Brenda Kennedy and recommend others to do the same. She is a great author who writes about life and how we cope with every day situations, we all encounter. The characters in the Freedom Trilogy, are our neighbors, our family and friends who proves life is not always easy, but with love and Persistence we can make it through. The stories make you angry, happy, and are fun of laughter.
