You will find lots of preserving recipes that help round out the meal.
Finally, the author keeps the cookbook friendly and homey through her well written chapter introductions telling about the recipe history.
Overall, highly recommend.
I'll spend many many hours reading and making recipes from this cookbook.
It is a little smaller than my original copy, but otherwise the same.

I personally grew up with this cookbook and our son wanted one to have the family favorite recipes.
I am very pleased with this purchase. Even with all the Christmas delivery hassles this year, it only arrived one day later than expected.
