This is a great science fiction adventure book for kids, grade three and up! The unique story of Rex and his half robot brain, his yeti-droid (love the idea of this!) and their close friendship, and the way they meet Tarock, lost in a world that he thought to be extinct millions of years before. I love the idea of the Menosaurs, talk of other planets that sustain complex life, and the struggle to do what's right and help Tarock.

As a longtime upper elementary school teacher, I can picture many of my students enjoying this book, especially those who read series such as Animorphs and Artemis Fowl. Highly recommend to your favorite dinosaur loving, sci-fi reading, fourth or fifth grader!

'I run four middle school libraries and the demand for this book is incredible! This book was so cute. It is really a kids book and a lot of times when I get children's books they have no pictures in them. Simon did a great job. I really enjoyed this book and will recommend to all. Thank you Author!!!

Written for kids 8 to 16, this tale includes dinosaurs, advanced technology, a teenage boy and his Yeti-like sidekick, two groups of space aliens with competing agendas, US Marines, and other cool ingredients. Set in the future, it contains a complex backstory about origins, and addresses the question, is there life out there? It is clear and well written in terms of descriptions, character development, and plotting. The names and places are unique but not abstruse, and will not confuse the reader with an arcane vocabulary.

Rex, its main character, is a 14 year old boy with technological enhancements. His caretaker and best friend, Rion, resembles a Yeti. The plot hinges on their interactions with Tarock, a Menosaur (an alien half human/half dino) from the distant planet Prehystoria from which Earth’s dinosaurs originated. Backstory, aliens created Earth’s dinosaurs, kill them, left Earth, and are returning to take over the place.

The plot: Rex and Rio go to the site of a meteorite impact, encounter Tarock (who resembles a baby T-Rex), alert US Marines attack, the good guys escape and later hook up with Tarock, Rex and Tarock communicate via technical means, and the adventure evolves from there. There’s a subplot involving NASA, another involving Prehistoria, and lots of action. Rex, the young, bespectacled protagonist, is an unlikely hero, but proves his mettle while Rio is his protector and devoted friend. The tale is written with a light touch, often humorous, and I found myself laughing from time to time. It includes colorful graphics. A real page turner, I think it would appeal especially to boys.

When I decided to pick up this book, first and foremost, I noticed a unique title, gorgeous cover and an interesting sounding theme. This book was unexpected! This book is full of twists and very interesting narrating, I was surprised as the plot unfolded because there were possible symbols that may not be so obvious at first. I was so intrigued by the sentence at the beginning of the book: “People always ask the question, “Is there anybody out there? Is there life beyond ours?”
Simon J. House created the atmosphere of the book very well. I could picture the prehistorical surroundings, adventures, woods, aero-car chases. My attention was held at all times. The book is beautifully written. The multiple characters are really impressed and I like their originality and complexity. However, the protagonist, Rex, is my favorite. I enjoyed the book so much and I would recommend it to anyone!

An amazing story, apparently for children but I certainly enjoyed it! Finished it within a day and can't wait to continue on with Tarock, Rex and Rion. An amazing adventure story with plenty of incredible twists and turns. I've certainly not read anything like it before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The world of the future and the world of Prehistoria is so well described and developed and the characters are well created, it's a must for anyone, no matter your age. I enjoyed the action too, and can certainly say I can imagine this making an epic movie. I did find I had the odd reminder of Star Wars throughout, along with Jurassic Park, but so much more! Now, if only I can get my hands on a yeti-droid, that'd be something.
Well done Simon, you've created an amazing tale and I look forward to reading more from you!

My 11 yr old son and me both really enjoyed this creative futuristic adventure of the half droid boy, Rex, with his Internet brain, and his caring 7 foot yeti-droid, who portrays his own unique style and humor. The story flows wonderfully and is so action-packed we kept wanting to read the next enjoying page to see what was going to happen! The ending is no different in that it leaves you eagerly anticipating more, and we can’t wait for a 2nd part of this series. Honestly throughout I couldn’t help but think that this story would make a very successful sci-fi movie… maybe even an Xbox or PlayStation game, as there are many enchanting parts that any audience is sure to be drawn into. Great job with flowing, imaginative writing skills, Simon. Thanks for the enjoyment and please keep up the exciting work!
