This is for all you golf fans. Arnold Palmer's thoughts on golf, business and life have been written down in this little book, Mentored by the King by Brade Brewer.

Brewer has called Palmer his friend for more than 25 years. With that kind of knowledge flowing around, who wouldn't expect a book to share the thoughts with the world?

This little book includes 35 principles that Palmer has lived by. Brewer takes these simple principles and expands upon them. (how else will he get the book published?)

These principles include: giving a firm handshake, when afraid, use your fear as fuel, make friends with your "enemies", always practice like a pro, let yesterday fade, and many others.

These principles, or lessons, are divided into 5 parts:

Lessons are often Simple
Your Starting Point Influences Your Destination
Optimism Rules the Kingdom
Heroes
A True Attitude is Gratitude

Filled with personal stories about one of the greatest golfing legends, Mentored by the King may be the ticket to your golfer's heart.

Growing up in Orlando I have always admired Mr Palmer for his investment in the community specifically with his support of the hospitals for children and women. I was eager to read this book which exceeded all expectations as each page offered life lessons I could relate to. Reading the stories from Brad and others on the consideration and encouragement they received from Mr Palmer made me more aware of how my interactions may influence other people's confidence, dreams and successes. Most importantly, I have a new perspective on just how much our children learn from us - not just in their schooling, but to level in which we show genuine care for others. Each and every human interaction matters. Thanks Brad for sharing your personal journey in a relationship with Mr Palmer chock full of lessons we can all learn from - golfer or not.

I've read quite a bit about Mr. Palmer and this has to be one of my favorite books. The author does a great job of sharing information only Mr. Palmer would provide to someone he trusted. The book is filled with laughs, and some very good "common-sense" suggestions that, in today's world, we tend to forget or lose.

This book is written in a style for those they do not play would understand, who may be new to the game of golf, or for the seasoned player. Pick up a copy and enjoy!

Brad Brewer's "Mentored By the King" offers engaging, page-turning insight into golf legend Arnold Palmer. In addition to anecdotes and observations pulled from Brewer's intimate relationship with Palmer, other golfing greats share life tools they have gained from the King. Structured in quick, concise chapters, the book can be devoured in a sitting or taken one lesson at a time. Whether you are new to the game or a scratch golfer, everyone can appreciate the way Brewer lays out Arnold Palmer's wisdom: transferring it from the bunker to the board room to the family room.

Mentored by the King: Arnold Palmer's Success Lessons for Golf, Business, And Life.

Author Brad Brewer has been a friend to his mentor, Arnold Palmer for more than twenty-five years. He has taken his advice, his thoughts and his impressions and applied them to his life and those around him.

Arnold lives by very strict principles, he's honest, upfront and loyal to his friends and family. He keeps a close knit circle around himself while maintaining his original roots. He credits his father with giving him the moral tenets and structure in which he lives by. His humanitarian efforts are outstanding and his community has benefited numerously over the years from his charity golf tournaments.

Brad Brewer writes about these principles of Arnold Palmer's, there are about thirty-five of them, with great flourish and depth, endearing you to the legend of Arnold. There are many anecdotes shared about Arnold's encounters with all walks of life, his tenacity over cleanliness and yes, even his faults. Brad's portrayal this man is almost god-like in its proportions, however, he writes his words in a such a believable way that you cannot help but wonder, maybe Arnold Palmer is a great man to meet!

I really liked the natural rhythm with which Brad Brewer writes, his words appeared honest and thoughtful. His belief in the tenets of Arnold Palmer never sways and he backs Arnold's greatness with quotes about reaching for your dreams, never giving up, always going forward to name just a few words of encouragement shared within these pages. I didn't find the book to be so much about golf, then the man with whom golf became. Arnold Palmer never strays far from his roots and his words of wisdom are true and everyone should take a moment to ponder them.
