The quality is typical of a coop like this (from what's I've read) The top piece came cracked but I didn't bother to call or make a fuss. It wasn't a big deal and I still screwed it on. It was sturdy when we built it but quickly starts to loosen as the weeks went on. Not exactly a hardy coop but it is pretty and it does the job. I'm not disappointed with it by any means. I'm just saying that if you're expecting a heavy duty coop, you'll be disappointed. I'd buy it again tho bc it seems that these put together kit type coops are pretty much made this way now. I added some pix of what it looks like finished, with my birds in the coop area, and the cracked top piece.
Assembly took about 3 hours with my son's help. We didn't wait for my husband to get home, and even though I'm certainly not the "building things" type, we built it like a champ. No way you can build this on your own though.
Hope this helps!
The hutch is quite large but not difficult to put together. I did it alone. I would suggest putting it together a few days before getting your new pet since it did smell a bit strongly. The smell dissipated after a few days.
