Leti Ando needs off planet and fast. He has a best friend and a new half-sister to rescue, and he needs to be sneaky about it. Unfortunately sneaky isn't really his thing. With the help of a friend, Leti and his menagerie, along with his two companions, stow away aboard a mystery ship. Little does he know that The Blue Solace belongs to the infamous mercenary, Captain Will Hackett, a man he'll come to love with everything inside him.
Will has been in a bitchy ass mood for the past six months. He's restless and grumpy, but doesn't know why. He knows he needs something and he can't find it, but his crew are out of patience and insist on some R &R back home at Charybdis Station.
Then Hack finds a stow away angel and everything changes. Leti is his mate and he'll do anything to keep him safe and happy, even smile.
The galaxy's not a safe place, though, and The Blue Solace has a job to do: pick up a renowned scientist and his mysterious artifact. Then get them safely back to Charybdis Station. Hack and Leti don't realize their romance story is about to get hijacked by Concord mercenaries. Their love is easy, it happens just like that. Staying alive and keeping the galaxy safe? That's a little harder.
Author's Note: 41,801 words. (Previously published as "Happens Just Like That"). This is a m/m love story with no angst and no cheating, just a HEA. There is lots of action, sex, mpreg, and a few potty mouths involved in the story. 18+ readers only, please. It is also the first of two books about this specific couple.

About the author

I have been self-publishing m/m romance since October, 2018 and enjoy sharing my books with readers all over the world. I'm also a reader and I love to read everything I can get my hands on, especially m/m romance. My favorites are mpreg, sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal. I have four series right now.
1). My Hobson Hills Omegas series is light and sweet non-shifter mpreg. They are novella length (35,000-45,000 words) and angst-free.
2). My Blue Solace series is a sci-fi/fantasy romance and has more action and adventure. The romance, however, is still light and sweet. They are longer (40,000-60,000 words).
3). My third series is called The Silver Isles and is a paranormal mermen trilogy. They are also a little longer than Hobson Hills (45,000-50,000 words) and are low heat and light and fluffy.
4). My fourth series is a paranormal, mpreg series of holiday short stories called Holiday Omegas (10,000-14,000 words). The first few stories follow one couple as they meet, fall in love, and develop their relationship.
If you like zero angst, light and fluffy romance, give one of my books a try!

I really liked the story premise. Like, a whole lot.
Unfortunately the execution left a lot to be desired.
To be fair, it's a short read, meaning it's difficult to really fit some substantial character building in there. But both Leti and Will were just way too shallowly portrayed. Leti was probably the most fleshed out of the two, but he was frankly too clueless and nice to really be interesting. And Will. The supposedly tough as nails mercenary. He rolls over and practically begs to have his tummy scratched as soon as he lays eyes on Leti. So this ways all about the lovey dovey.
I was hoping for some interesting dynamics between Leti and Will. You know, stuff you would expect when two wildly different strangers are insta-mated. But it was honeymoon-y from the start. And there were no drama or altercations with the ship crew either. Despite Leti bringing along his pal/servant AND a veritable ménagerie. But no. There was nothing. Just rainbows and unicorns.
Right up until the very end that is. Then there's this very rushed action (and two shoot-outs) involving a scientist and some really nasty space pirate types.
So the beginning and middle of the book was kind of boring. And then there was this rushed action that felt tacked on in the end.
Don't recommend.
