Do you love the smell of dead fish in a bottle? If so, this product is for you! Normally I LOVE Dr. Mercola's krill oil and I have ordered it many times. However, I ordered this back in March and didn't need it until now (July). The expiration date is 6/23-- that's next year! Unfortunately, when I opened it today, one or more of the capsules had burst at some point (and you can see the gross, stinky mess on my hand just from handling a few pills). The entire bottle stinks to high heaven and I'm afraid to use any of it. It has been sitting in my nice cool cupboard this whole time so I know I didn’t cause this problem. Unfortunately, the return window has closed so I literally just flushed $75 down the drain. To be fair, I didn’t get my money back because I discovered the broken capsules too late. I won’t be making that mistake again. Please, if you purchase this product, don’t wait to open it to check for pills that have burst and subsequently leaked all over the rest of the pills.

I've been buying this for years for my son who was hyperactive and agressive. At one point, I tried to save money and go with Mega Red brand, which was like putting him on nothing! It was absolutely chaos and I was feeling like pulling my hair out until I could get Dr. Mercola's back in the house. It has SUCH a profound affect on my son. He is even keeled and a joy to be around when he takes it. When he forgets to take it, I can always tell- he's bugging his sisters all day and is more argumentative with everyone.

Also, since my two daughters were toddlers, they have cried almost nightly about leg cramps, sometimes even unable to walk. My chiropractor said that he heard fish oil helps cramps, but he didn't know the why behind it. I put my girls on Dr. Mercola's Arctic Krill Oil, and immediately, their cramps disappeared. After 2 weeks? I asked them, and they said that they couldn't remember the last time they had any pain. It's now been a few months, and the pain has been gone, except for the week we ran out. My one daughter has knock-knees too. I researched onlune, and found out that these 3 symptoms indicate Rickets- vit. D deficiency! So I Googled how much natural vit. D is in krill oil, and it is a significant amount. So my theory is that the krill has vit. D which relaxes muscles, calms down hyperactivity, and builds strong bones and teeth (preventing knock-knees). So sad for my children, but I'm glad I at least caught it hopefully before it's too late. I strongly recommend this krill oil because vit. D is really a HORMONE, and I don't want to be putting any more synthetic hormones into my children's bodies than they are already exposed to in the environment.

Dr Mercola is excellent quality, so I was surprised when I received my first bottle and there was oil that had leaked in it. I'm sure the product is excellent quality, but I think you're just asking for trouble when you put oil in capsules. It only takes one to crack or break and there's orange oil everywhere. The pills don't stink or taste bad, but of course if they break open they do have an odor. I wrote to them and they refunded my money, which was great. However, it's a pain to deal with this and I don't want to every month when I buy a bottle. I put them all on a paper towel and gently roll them around to try to get the oil off, otherwise it's on your hands every day when you take them. I'm sorry to say, I'm going to try to find another brand that doesn't use a capsule.

This product is probably a 4 1/2 stars for me but since that's not an option I'm rounding up. :)

I tried a name brand krill oil a few years back (MegaRed I believe?) and it did nothing for me so I decided to forget about krill oil. Then, not long ago, I received a tiny sample size of Dr. Mercola for under a buck when I was ordering some other vitamins. I couldn't believe how much better this krill oil is!! I immediately re-ordered this full sized bottle.

I take one capsule along with turmeric or another anti-inflammatory when I feel a migraine coming on and although it is NOT a cure-all, I do notice definite benefits in terms of reduced pain.

I also like that this krill oil is sourced responsibly!! Our oceans need all the help they can get. I considered buying the krill oil at Costco because I like that their employees get benefits and the prices are always good but there was no mention of sustainable sourcing at all, which probably means the brand they sell overfishes somewhere. :( This bottle even has a stamp of where the krill were caught (lattitude/longitude) and when (the date), pretty cool!

The only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is that it's a little pricey compared to another sustainably fished krill oil I've found but I still plan to buy this brand again, the quality is top of the line...I FEEL the difference when I take this.
