Mercy's story is 43rd in the series. Mercy is a bright and happy young lady full of spunk. After 9 days on the train and additional time on a stage coach, she discovers her groom is in his 70s. She keeps a smile on her face despite this disappointment. She wishes the silent stranger driving her and her groom to the ranch could have been her groom.
Mercy dives in with both feet to learn everything about working a ranch. She learns to work with leather goods, cooking huge amounts of food and even wearing pants to ride a horse for a roundup.
There are several surprises in this story which kept me turning the pages.
All the primary characters were well developed and I felt like I really knew them. I hope some of the secondary characters get their own stories. If you can't read all the M.O.B stories, pick this one for a really enjoyable read.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
the sister from Caroline Clemmons book " Patience Bride of Washington" ties another set of sisters that these two authors are so good at doing. If you loved this try "Mail Order Tangle" from these great authors with two more mail order sisters.
What a run Quill gave Mercy, fighting his own fears, trying not to love her, yet he already did, he just was afraid to admit it even to himself.
That roundup was the coolest, it made me wish I had been Mercy. Wow to have lived in that time would have been a thrill for me. I know if you read both of these stories you will love them just as much as I have.
Jackquie Rogers thank you so much for writing this book, you did an excellent job. I hated for it to end, I would love to have a sequel to it to share their wedding party and a few years and children. Now that's a book I would certainly get!
