I loved Mercy's character and the way it developed throughout the story. Going from wallflower to strong independent young woman. A girl from a rough upbringing to a woman with a mission.
Sebastien's character was intriguing, but seemed to be lacking the drive to fight for what he wanted.
The storyline has great potential to develop into an amazing tale. With an evil vampire "family" looking to take over the world and Mercy being the key to stopping them. It kept me turning the pages to find out what happened next. At little rushed at times, where more detail could have been added, but I am curious to see where this tale goes next.
I'm new to Tiki Kos and this novella was definitely a good one to break my teeth on.
I thought that the storyline flows really well,it was well written and very engaging.
I can't wait to read the next instalment and I'm hoping I won't have to wait too long as I'm gagging for more of this story.
I need to know what has happened with Sebastien and Amanda and if Mercy gets to them in time.
Mercy and Sebastien had a very interesting dynamic and I couldn't get enough of their story and binge read it in one sitting.
I really enjoyed reading this novella and I think you should buy/borrow this book asap.
I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this novella.
Kos does make some cracks at the sparkling vampires in Twilight. Don’t worry these vampires are not sparkly. It was brilliantly slipped into the dialogue.
The action is suspenseful and it really drew me in. There were fighting scenes, blood, and explosives. Kos does not disappoint when trying to save the ones you love from the blood sucking vamps.
I really enjoyed the way she wrote this book, and how it
flowed. She made the main character go from being the
invisible girl, the outcast,to the girl who's going to save
the world.I can't wait to read the second book!!
