Told from both POVs
Editing issues throughout. Words missing, jumping from past to present tense. It was a good enough book to look past this but I still couldn't help but notice it.
I was iffy on whether or not I would like this book but that ended pretty quickly when I found myself laughing out loud. The banter between the two main characters is hysterical and Drew might be the most bada** girl I have ever read about. Tough as nails but deep down cares deeply for those she loves.
Drew and Axel were best friends when they were 18. They even loved each other without either of them knowing. One day Drew finally gets the courage to ask Alex to make love to her. It is a night neither of them will ever forget but the next morning two words tear them apart.
Drew runs and Axel has no idea why. For 9 years they have both been wandering trying to find happiness and never being able to but then fate steps in and their paths cross once again.
The chemistry between them is instant but letting down your guard after 9 years takes time. Axel isn't a patient man and what he wants he gets. This book is filled with drama, suspense, hot hot hot moments and a ton of hilarity.
As much as the editing bothered me I still gave this book 5 stars because the characters and storyline were so good. Definitely a must read.
