This one is truly Antonio’s book. From the pain and fear he experiences, with Lauren’s kidnapping, to the sheer love and joy he portrays when surrounded by his family, to the straight and narrow persona he has I never business, we learn all about this magnificent man. Lauren also learns that life is not just all work, there must be times when she can just relax and enjoy what she has always desired.
I loved Antonio’s family, his Mamma is just the greatest - she is a true Matriarch, just like Mrs Gallo from the Men Of Ink’d Series. I love how Chelle shows that family is important. What a family this one is!!! Especially bad boy Stefan - I’d love to see a story about him. Once again Lauren’s BFF Tara is there, adding plenty of laughs to the mix.
A brilliant read and a highly recommended duet.
Read and Reviewed for Reading Is Our Satisfaction.
Antonio is on a mission now to find the one woman who has captured his heart, and vows to keep her in his life--permanently.
While kidnapped, Lauren goes into survival mode--she knows now what a lunatic Trent has become, and vows to come out of her kidnapping alive--and into Antonio's arms.
When Antonio finally finds Lauren, the two take the chance on their relationship, and come to realize that the greatest merger comes not from their companies becoming one, but their hearts and souls merging together to bring a happiness that neither one expected to find, but now, can't live without.
Chelle Bliss did an amazing job in this Duet series, and as always, I look forward to her next great novel!
A good conclusion however it ends rather abruptly. We don’t get to see what happens in the next phase of Lauren and Antonio's lives. It just ends. I have to say that it is disappointing and unfinished. I was left wondering and I hate when that happens. However I still loved the book!!! Even though it would have been great to have seen what happened afterwards. That being said I believe – HOPE – that we will get a glimpse in Tara and Stefano’s story. Well I’m hoping like heck there will be a Tara and Stefano story. It's portrayed that there will be so if we’re lucky we will get one.
This book is filled with lots of heat and passion!!! Lauren and Antonio are off the charts!!! But the best thing about this book is that Lauren really comes into her own and learns to live outside of her work. She completed her dream and with the help of Antonio she signs that she is ready to move forward to the next phase in her life. That’s why it is disappointing that we don’t get at least a glimpse into it. This was a great duet and I’m more than looking forward to Tara and Stefano's story!!!
Antonio will do whatever it takes to Merge the two companies, Interstella Corp. and Cozzo, together. That is not the only Merger that he is interested in, but first he will use all of his resources to find Lauren and save her.
Lauren and Antonio are powerful CEO's who mesh together beautifully outside of the boardroom. The intricacies of the Merger takes fold, enemies are taken care of, and life as they know it changes.
The Merger is more about the lives of Antonio and Lauren outside of the boardroom. There are trips to the Antonio's island and visits to his family. Discussing their fears, wants and needs, and sharing secrets about themselves. With Antonio's help Lauren learns there is more to life than the boardroom.
So once again life kinda threw me a curve ball and cut into my reading time. I picked up the audiobook after reading a chapter because I was going to be busy with errands and such. I'm so glad I did. Brian Pallino and Natasha Soudek both did an amazing job with the narration giving the story the real life dimension. Brian nailed what I thought Antonio would sound like and was phenomenal with the other characters as well. Natasha was the perfect voice for Lauren. Her male accents were not so great but I enjoyed nonetheless.
The story picks up right where Acquisition left off. And that issue was resolved fairly quickly. I loved the sides of Lauren and Antonio we get to see in this book. I didn't like how flip-floppy Lauren was about her feelings. She seemed to just all of the sudden to want everything. That just seemed rushed to me.
Overall a good conclusion to the duet. I'm excited to see what Chelle has up her sleeve next.
