I'm an avid reader and like my books a little longer than average because I read several hours a day, everyday. However, the length of this one almost caused me to put it down without finishing. While I appreciate the author trying to get plenty of details in, by about half-way through, I found myself skipping through pages without reading them just to get to the next interesting part where they were interacting or something exciting was happening. ...something I very rarely do.
Even so, I look forward to the next book in the series.
This author is all about peeling back the layers slowly. Each chapter reveals a little more. The next section, a little more, but the bigger questions and their answers seem to be saved for future novels and that suits me just fine. It's easy to dive into speculation and conspiracy theory regarding the main character, her enemies and cohorts.
I can't wait for the rest of the series to find out if I'm right, wrong or not even close!
