5.0 out of 5 stars Exceeding expectations so far.
By Raymond K. on March 27, 2019
I've been wanting a pair of light hiking shoes that can also double as water shoes, being that I do light hikes a few times a year and typically take a trip to current river yearly and get tired of the flimsy water shoes that last one use then get thrown away because they're all tore up. I bought a pair of Merino wool socks to accompany these and think I'll buy a couple more pair after having tried the first. I am just breaking these in at the moment and they almost already feel as if they don't need anymore break-in. I will say these are probably not built for steep hill climbing as there isn't any ankle support but should work great on rough terrain. The mesh lets them breathe very well, which is what an experienced hiker told me to look for and the reasoning for getting the wool socks. The socks felt great in them. The soles are very rugged and super grippy yet very flexible to the foots natural motion. So far, I've put a few miles in them on the treadmill and been running around outside my house doing outside work. They feel great to my feet. I wear anywhere from a 10.5 to an 11 depending on the shoe and usually like my shoes a little wide. I bought these in a 10.5 and they fit excellent. Snug to my foot with socks on but not tight at all to where they're bothersome. I can say they've worked out great while breaking them in and can't wait to wear them on some expeditions. If you don't hear an update from me, it's because I love the shoes and have nothing more to say. If I run into a problem with them, I'll leave an update.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these water shoes!
By R. Webb on June 17, 2018
Was a little nervous, because I have another pair of Merrell shoes that are a little too tight.. I wear the exact 9 1/2, and this pair is exact. At first, I thought the toe box was going to be a little big, as others have said, but it’s not. First weekend of owning them, we go to the Texas coast.. I wear them to the beach, in the water, and on a boat. These shoes have a nice firm feel, I’ll have no problem walking on rocks along the Llano River, where I rock hunt, and then walking in to the water. The price was more than what I was hoping to spend, but after trying on other high rated brands, I felt that the cost was worth it. I am very pleased with these shoes, and happy I did the research and read reviews. I would recommend these to anyone that asks, and I’ll buy them again when this pair wears out

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent grip, comfortable, and fast drying
By Joshua S. on December 10, 2018
These bad boys held up to some pretty intense trails on Oahu in Hawaii.

I got them a few days prior to my vacation since I knew I needed a shoe that would be water friendly and good for hiking. These shoes have incredible grip and i didnt have to use my crampons at all in places where I normally would. They were submerged into knee deep mud, used to grip near vertical scrambles, cross a few streams, and for a few hot days where I wanted a breathable shoe and would be walking in areas unsuitable for sandals.

No issues with tearing/ripping. These shoes are pretty well built from what I can tell. They came clean easy after getting muddy and dry quickly.

I'm quite happy with these and will be picking up a women's pair for my wife for sure.
