I'm not one to write reviews, mainly because I believe that personal opinion is just that: personal. But as both a fan and an advocate of the barefoot movement, I feel it's important to let my fellow barefooters know when a product is worth a look.

Prior to this purchase, I owned four pair of Vibram FiveFingers Vibram Fivefingers Bikila LS Sport Shoes, two pair of Fila Skeletoes Fila Women's Skele-Toes 2.0 Slip-On Fashion Sneaker], and one pair of Teva Zilch [[ASIN:B00566SN84 Teva Women's Zilch Flexible Sandal. I bought the Wonder Glove in both black and aluminum, which is a nice neutral light khaki.

As a woman in a corporate environment, these are now my go-to barefoots. It's a challenge to make any kind of a barefoot shoe work with business casual attire, but these fit the bill. Even without the added benefit of being a barefoot shoe, they're just plain cute. The mesh fabric on the sides of the shoes wipes clean, even from mud, and the leather toe and heel have resisted scuffing despite wear virtually every day.

As for the barefoot experience, these are a zero drop shoe with a thin Vibram sole. Because of that, they provide great ground feel, but I'm not sure I'd wear them for a hike in the woods. But that's not the point of these shoes - they're intended for those of us who want to embrace the barefoot movement every day in all settings.

Note: If you're new to the barefoot movement, you need to adapt slowly, as the muscles in your feet will make you sorry if you don't.

My husband bought these shoes for me. I was looking for a barefoot experience, but with a dressy twist. They arrived fairly quickly and I was excited to try them out. The construction was high quality, and they look really cute on. The sole is thick enough to protect your feet, but thin enough to allow you to have that great barefoot feeling. My toes had a ton of room and the strap held the shoe in place well, and was easy to attach/detach. But I had an issue with the back of the shoes rubbing against the back of my foot - between my ankle and heal. I could tell that if I were to wear these for any length of time, the back of my feet would end up bloodied and blistered. He ordered the correct size, so that wasn't the issue. It didn't seem like you could "break" the shoes in to make them more comfortable in the back - the fabric seemed pretty sturdy. I am returning these for that reason only. I doubt it was the way I was walking in them as I have been using other barefoot shoes for a couple years now and I am accustomed to this type of shoe. I hate to give negative reviews since shoe fit and comfort can vary widely by individual....so maybe it was my feet?

I bought these while I was being a little impulsive but I am really glad I did!

They are what they're described as in terms of their name.. Wonder Glove. I bought them for work and I am constantly moving and running and jumping. They are barefoot's so don't expect a ton of support but I'm of the mindset that living as naturally as possible is the way to be; these are definitely only one degree away from not having shoes on without cutting your foot on that piece of glass. The Vibram sole is another reason I splurged! For the mary jane aspect, I've always had issues with shoes that are too tight on the top of my foot but this strap feels very soft and I haven't had any irritation. The strap and button on the side stays on when I want and comes off when I want it to so no complaints there either.

Overall great shoe and I would definitely recommend them for someone who needs a well made shoe that is as light as air..

PS I was wondering about working out in them and so far I've done some light jogging, walking and a spin class in them.. No complaints whatsoever but I will not be going down in the Grand Canyon in them next time we go!!

Also, I have the light grey/stone version and EVERYONE at work loves them.. I get a lot of compliments and comments about the subtle swirl design on the outer toe. Adorable..

First let me say.... I hate shoes and seldom find shoes that don't make my feet hurt. I have tried many brands and was pretty much left with wearing New Balance tennis shoes which is not a great option when you work in a business setting.
I purchased my first pair of Merrell barefoots 2 years ago, they were black and more sporty than these and they were great but less than attractive with business casual. I purchased my first pair of this style a year ago, another black pair and I wear them DAILY and they look fine with business casual attire. I just expanded with a second pair, a tan pair they call rucksack, and they look much better than the black pair with khaki pants.
Barefoot style are not for everyone but these shoes worked for me when Danskos, regular Merrells, Born, Clark's, Sperry's etc., all failed!
Th sizing runs small. I wear and 8 womens New Balance and a 6.5 in this shoe so keep that in mind when ordering. They are called "gloves" because they are suppose to fit your foot with little to no wiggle room. There is elastic around the heel area so they aren't uncomfortable if they fit closely. If you do not fit them correctly, they are less comfortable and will likely cause blisters.
