I am usually a 9-9.5 and I got the 9.5. My big toes don't hit the front of the shoe unless it's a downward slant...however my little toes do rub a little against the shoe due to the curve. It's not a big deal and it's not all the time. I feel like a size 10 would fit the toes better, but the heel would be loose so I'm happy with the fit.
They aren't the most cushioned but they're light-weight and by no means uncomfortable. I love the way they look and am overall happy to have found them just in time for some wet fall weather!
Comfortable toe box
The ability to do a quick rinse and they are clean again.
Arch support took a little breaking in, but once that was done they were good.
Water Resistance is good.
The shock absorbance on these shoes is the worst that I have ever come across. I was extremely disappointed after spending this kind of money on what are supposed to be an amazing quality shoe with a reputation like Merrell. My feet were literally killing me after a few hours in these shoes. After 12 hours in them at an amusement park I could barely walk at the end of the day. After 4 hours of an 8 hour shift at work my feet would hurt badly. I don't have problems with my feet, arch issues or anything else. I have never experienced problems with shoes like this unless it was dress shoes or cheap shoes, so I was shocked that these were this bad. I normally wear a size 8.5 but I bought a 9 so I could wear thicker socks with these in the winter. I bought insoles for them to help with the shock absorption and that has made what would be a deal breaker into a shoe that I now wear every day and love. The only problem with that is that the insoles take up so much room in the shoe, I now can only wear very thin socks for the shoe to fit comfortably.
While the outside of the shoe repels water very nicely, the bottom leaves a lot to be desired for traction control in the wet. I actually faceplanted in Mexico on a wet sidewalk with these walking in the rain. The traction on them is terrible inside too. When I mop the floor at work wearing these I have to be very careful because they are so slick.
All in all I really love the styling of the shoe, so I live with the major downside of them.

It is a good shoe...I still like it, so I am keeping it.
