Simply amazing. Most LP reissues are not true to the original artwork on both the cover and disc. This reissue actually faithfully recreates the back and silver Decca Records label on the LP and uses the Decca branding on the cover from the mid-1950s. The LP is mixed in Mono and is absolutely superb. I have three copies of the original Mono from 1955 and none are completely scratches, making this reissue priceless. Decca and MCA later remixed the mono into stereo(phonic) using electronic rechanneling but since the original tracks were all recorded before the advent of stereo tape technology those "stereo" issues don't sound as good. What a joy. Release more!

From the very first time this lp was issued in the 1950s, I have enjoyed it like no other Christmas lp. With the new reissue, it gives the buyer a feeling of something that he can share with the grandchilden. Its fun is still in place and Bing's touch was never better. One thing that I think was a boo boo.....The version of White Christmas used has always been the 1947 version. I consider this new lp.........simply great!

Two Christmases ago (2012) after I had bought a vinyl Bing Crosby 7" from the Bing Crosby website, I sent them a message asking if they would think about having this classic album reissued on vinyl again. They did respond and if I remember correctly they said they would pass along the message. I would love to think I had a hand in having this album reissued on vinyl! LOL. From what I've read on several websites is that this reissue is the original mono versions. I've ordered it and happily await its arrival!

This review is for the VINYL release.

Since I'm a new collector of vinyl, I realized that my collection was horribly devoid of quality holiday music so I grabbed this one on a whim after some glowing reviews that I read. I've listened to Bing many Christmases past, but they've always been on the radio or my mom's 20 year old cassettes. HOLY GOD DOES THIS BLOW THEM AWAY. I can't say it's like Bing was in the room with me, but his voice definitely warmed my heart more than my fireplace. The timbre of his voice was like I'd never heard before. I imagine hearing him in person is the only way to hear his voice in a better condition. For a remaster (and considerably late pressing... it was on back order because of demand), this is top notch.

It's perfect. I have to write a bunch more words for Amazon to accept this review so I'll say that I don't like modern celebrity Christmas albums. In fact they make me sick. This one is such a classic they should have just stopped with it. I hope they re-release it someday on 220 vinyl.

I was born in the '80's and grew up with my parent's playing Bing around Christmas. After moving out of the house, I realized that even though this CD is ancient, I still missed hearing it. Amazon had it for the lowest price around. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again on here if I lost this CD. Bing has been, and will be around for many ages to come. After all, who wants to listen to a "Merry Rihanna Christmas"?

You can't miss with this one - All 12 tracks are THE CROONER's original recordings from the late 1950s. All are the most recognized and loved versions we heard on the radio and got on MCA's LP when it became available. Sound is great for an earlier CD release, we haven't heard a more recent release that is any better.

when i was a kid, this was the vinyl LP that we would pull out and beg our parents to put on throughout the christmas season -- DEFINITELY as we decorated the tree, and then a million other times until the holidays were over.

it always surprises me when one of the lesser-known songs from this album comes on the radio and my friends or co-workers have never heard it. all i can say is "WHAT?!? Didn't you listen to this over and over as a kid??"

i hope you'll buy this album and make it a christmas tradition in your home as well.

Happy Holidays!!
