In this story, Toby and Sean Miggles work at the Sandy Lake Library. Their working relationship is very pleasant. When trouble comes knocking for Sean, Toby feels a protective streak he didn't know he had. He rallies library regulars to help....and discovers more about Sean MIggles than he ever thought he would. Given that you will immediately feel the 'It's a Wonderful Life' connection while reading, it's not going to be a surprise that the town comes through for Sean.
Sean and Toby are two very pleasant MCs that the reader loves getting to know. Many of the secondary characters are developed enough to also feel very real. I whole-heartedly recommend this book to get you into the Christmas mood. I also can recommend other Christmas themed books by Eli Easton such as Unwrapping Hank, A MidWinter Night's Dream, or Blame it on the Misteltoe.
I strongly recommend this book as well as Unwrapping Hank, A Midwinter's Night Dream, and Blame it on the Mistletoe for putting one into the Holiday Spirit.
Highly recommend. You'll feel good reading this💕
I really liked the plot as well, it was clever and Sean's backstory was interesting. Not something I had read before either.
Toby and Sean were fun together. The banter, the sexual tension, but even individually they're lovable. Once Sean became Sean and not just Mr. Miggles, he was so vulnerable.
I'm glad things turned out the way they did with Toby's boyfriend too. He wasn't made a bad guy, just not the right guy for Toby.
And the sex scenes were pretty nice. Damn, that last one will stay with me, what a nice fantasy.
And to top it all, it's a book talking a lot about books. Lots of references made me smile because I've read those books and it brought back memories. It reminded me of my town libraries and spending hours there (still do), of asking advice to librarians, of falling in love with books and reading, of reading the classics in school. It just brought back a lot of fond memories of reading
