About the Author

Elijah Muhammad was born on October 7, 1897 in Sandersville, Georgia. He met his teacher, Master Fard Muhammad in Detroit, Michigan after migrating there in the early 1930's. Upon the departure of his teacher, Elijah Muhammad became the Leader, Teacher and Guide of what went from The Lost-Found Nation of Islam in North America to what is known today as the Nation of Islam. Notable students of the Messenger were Malcolm X Little, later named Malik El Shabazz, Cassius Clay, also named Muhammad Ali, and Louis Wilcox, later named Louis Farrakhan. Given the profoundity of the writings of Elijah Muhammad, it would be an injustice to attempt to put it in a small synopsis; therefore pasting this link in your browser and visiting http://www.memps.com, will render the best and most accurate information available about Messenger Elijah Muhammad.

NOT THE REAL BOOK! SOMEONE PUT SUCH A DATE ON IT (for argument/debate purposes) AS TO CLAIM THAT IT IS HIS ACTUAL WORDS. You have to get the authentic book, which has THEM photo in black and white. This is at: "Finalcallstore.com"

I first bought this book in 1980 and I have diligently utilized it as a guide for my daily life, the appealing aspect of this book for myself is that I've bypassed and ignored the religious sections of this book ( I am an atheist ) and focused my energy and attention on the non-religious material in this book. The three book sections that I've utilized as part of my daily life are:
1. ORIGINAL MAN from pages 31-67
2. ECONOMIC PROGRAM from pages 192-205
3. LAND OF OUR OWN AND QUALIFICATIONS from pages 220-247
To add onto these three sections are also the chapter "The Right Of Self-Defense" pages 217-219 (the black people in South Carolina needed this kind of advice perhaps they would of defended themselves against being shot to death). I also like the chapter titled "Decline Of The Dollar" pages 275-278 and "Build Our Own Society" pages 300-303. I do not need a black leader and definitely not a white leader Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, or even Farrakhan the only thing I need is this wonderfully enlightening book.

The Message To The Blackman in America was my first encounter with a Real Powerful Black man dedicated to God (Allah) who was successful in life at bringing us together for the establishment of a Righteous, Peaceful, Equal and Harmonious civilization right here on earth NOW!

With that said,

Islam - means "Peace" and the only way to have peace and to affect peace into this world is through - Submitting your Will to do the Will of God (Allah). By aligning our Mind and Will with the Will of God all things become possible.

The Nation of Islam (NOI) does not teach "Arab Culture" as Arab Culture for some strange reason has become identified with Islam. So do not pick up this book expecting to learn about Arab Culture. The Hon. Elijah Muhammad nor Min. Farrakhan teaches Arab Culture and many who claim Islam are angry with them and their followers for this reason alone. It teaches Islam as defined by God (Allah) and the Holy Quran.

The Hon. Elijah Muhammad said he met with God (the Supreme Being) in the Person (or physical appearance) of Master Fard Muhammad. That He (Master Fard Muhammad) proved clearly to him that he was indeed who he said he was, God.

Now, if The Hon. Elijah Muhammad has indeed met with God (Allah) and submitted his Will to do the Will of God (Allah), then he should be successful in the Mission that God (Allah) has given him, which The Hon Elijah Muhammad says is to uplift Black people in America. Which means to me, waking them up to who they really are and showing them by example what the can have here and now. Once that is done, to take what we have and give it to humanity for thhe establishment of peace.

This is another great book from the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. It gives true meanings of Islam. There is much information about God's people and these days in this book. It is unifying truth. It is universal or shows the way to universal order

Although I disagree with his religious doctrine, but I find myself agreeing with his far-right social stances protecting morality and encouraging the economic independence of the Black Man. I truly believe that our overly expansive welfare state in America today has deprived African Americans of self sufficiency and a "lazy" people (a term that is used excessively by Mr. Muhammad in this book). He uses the Holy Bible whenever he can conveniently twist the words in order to justify one of his pseudo-doctrines, such as the Yakub theory; while denouncing it whenever it applies to the Messiah-ship of Jesus Christ and screaming that White Europeans corrupted the Bible. He calls Islam the "original religion of the Black Man", as he believes Christianity was coerced upon the Black Man during slavery here in America. Ironically, that's how Islam came upon Africa was through the same process by the Arabs. One of the first Christian nations ever was Ethiopia. I do, however, find myself siding with him in critic of Catholic doctrine, the worship "through" Mary, the pedestal of the Pope, and things of that matter. It's interesting to see the similarities between Christian Identity and Nation of Islam doctrine as both claim the White Race is the Adamic race. Elijah Muhammad borrows from other religions and denominations such as the Jehovah Witnesses on his stance on the afterlife, even though Orthodox Islam is very explicit in its view of the afterlife. It's very hypocritical how he calls the Roman Catholic Trinitarian view of Jesus Christ (God the Son) polytheism, but then dubs Master Wallace Fard Muhammad the revelation of "Allah" in human form.Read more ›
