It was OK, entertaining enough to keep my attention. But plotholes galore. And as I think another reviewer mentioned, what kind of yahoos invite a strange guy to live with them when they have two kids at home? Not only that, they left their 16-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son alone with the rough-looking character. I don't care how nice he acts. I don't care how safe the area seems. I don't care how much they pine for the "good old days." That was criminally bad parenting.
The very end doesn't make sense, either. Actually, the girl is the only one whose actions and choices make any amount of sense throughout the whole story. Everyone else seems completely retarded with zero natural instincts because the story would fall apart if the characters were allowed to be believably human.
