Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The story is pretty simple and easy to follow. Character motivations range from "a well thought out plan" to "self-serving egomaniac" and they don't really part from those. That's a good thing considering that the movie is only 41 minutes. The mech design is cool and the tried-and-true formula of smooth animation to show off the mech's every nook, cranny, and movement is here too. Though I do wish it was a little longer, everything that could be said was said. Technically, there is one thing they could've added to the end, but it would have just slowed things down. All things considered this was a pretty good movie.
I found this pretty entertaining, but a bit more confusing than awesome. It felt like a filler episode from a more serious anime series. There seemed to be a lot of back-story that was never told, and events played out somewhat unbelievably. But for all of that, it was a pretty fun little movie!
When I first became an anime fan way back in the halcyon days of the early 90s, when pro copies were few and everything fan-subbed or pro copied was on VHS tape, this title was on the venerable Animeigo's stable of anime titles, and i wanted very much to see it then. Unfortunately, I just didn't get the chance until Amazon put it on their Prime video platform. This is one of those anime you're not meant to take seriously - I mean, the plot itself is clearly written in a hurry, in order for AIC/Artmic to crank out this old OVA title quickly to get as much of its investment back. But, it's a fun, retro romp through a period when character designs were more unpredictable and the action was all hand-painted cells. It's not a mind-blower like the "Ghost in the Shell: SAC" franchise, this is more lighthearted and, well, frankly, stupider. So enjoy the stupid that sometimes typified 80s anime!
Back when we transitioned from VHS to DVD's and BluRays I used to find dubbed anime in my local media outlets such as Bestbuy and Suncaost. But I've about had it with Amazon (and pretty much every streaming video service out there) not providing dubbed versions of anime, and for that matter, not having a better selection as well. There are many classics from the mid to late 90's and early 2000's that I still never see on these platforms. I know there are probably anime-only streaming services out there, but I don't watch enough anime for that. Sorry for everyone wanting to read a review strictly about this cartoon. I'm sick of not having the option to watch anime on Amazon in dubbed. The option is very rare when it does occur. Sick of this.
This is the story of a student whose girlfriend is breaking up with him and leaving the country- likely because he's a self-centered idiot. The real ruckus starts when the dumb boyfriend accidentally stumbles into some super advanced military hardware that accidentally fell into his friends truck after a car accident. He accidentally refuses all help until he's an accidental literal murderer/terrorist. Will he be able to shove all the blame on to someone else? Will he be able to stop his girlfriend from leaving him and pursuing her dreams? Will he have to pay for his crimes? Find out in this classic 80's style anime, where everyone has body proportions that were pulled out of a hat at random. It's well animated, faults aside, and you can tell the original was written by an engineer. The fault is that it utterly fails at having a reasonable plot, all with perfectly sincerity.
