Perfect port from the NEO GEO arcades! Needless to say the blood from the enemies is red, not that silly watery white color, almost perfect! why almost you ask? Well I highly recommend the digital download instead of the UMD, due to the fact that the game pauses unexpectedly for a fraction of seconds and suffers from slow down frame rate due to the constant need of cache flushing, this problem is minimize if you get the digital version, since it is a way faster process of data access, the reading times are way more efficient! Therefor less slow frame rate moments and way less loading screen times.

Love this collection . So much fun to be had , as the games progress the graphics do too , not by much but you can tell the difference between games . There is 6 games and I can tell you , you will have fun if you like shooting stuff and having lots of guns . Story wise not much , but htis games shines on the fun of shooting lots and lots of enemys and getting in different vehicles .

Great deal great price its a psp must . If you need a break from all the rpgs this is great I play lots of rpgs and such and every now and than feel like a loose story shooting fun this is the game just for that .

Run and gun 2D action the Metal Slug series defines the genre and sets the bar for others to dare match. The original NEO-GEO series on the go is a perfect translation from the MVS hardware from past. Beautiful hand drawn sprites and animations that you simply do not get in the era of 3D everything. The artwork is nothing short of stunning and encourages the game play just to see what's next on the landscape. The evolution of the series is mixed bag their is some slow down when the action gets hot on some of the titles, you can see how the game engine was optimized with each release, the original metal slug moves along pretty good then number 2 you can see they tried to up the visual feast without tweaking the engine. None the less all the titles are great the difficulty level in these games is only cheap in rare instances but requires repeat play and dedication to get some of the boss patterns down. To keep things fair and to boast the reply you only get 20 credits which requires a conservative approach to complete each title. The bad part about this title and all of the NEO GEO ports to the PSP is the load time. The loading on each game is different , some titles it's not an issue others loading kicks in during the middle of the action and it simply ruins the game. The loading bothered me so much that I purchased the download version of the game. The download version of the game runs as it was originally intended, there is still loading but the latency is dropped to where there is no break in the action, it's identical to the original MVS hardware that I used to pump quarters into.

Slug 4 so their has been an ongoing

If you need to blow off steam without
Commiting mass genocide due to
Having a bad day. A final note, the
Entertainment software rating board
Gave this game a tame rating considering
It makes Wolfenstein seem like a walk in park.
