Editorial Reviews

Review

"Want to showcase your scholarly knowledge of Metallica in a way that really brings the room together? Fortunately, the superstar metal group have just the thing — a coffee table book about the making of Master of Puppets."

— Eclaim! online

"Metallica: Back to the Front features photos of original art and lyrical ideas, rare pictures (including one of the band in their bath robes and bare feet where you can see “eight Metallica tootsies”), interviews with every member of the band along with producer Flemming Rasmussen as well as fans."

— Loudwire.com

"As Ulrich reveals, the book features photos, original art, ideas for lyrics, and interviews with the band, producer Flemming Rasmussen and fans. Though the book is actually 276 pages—not 9,000, as Ulrich says—it’s packed with information vital to fans who have a deep appreciation for the album and Metallica."
