McGarry's translation of John of Salisbury's The Metalogicon is probably the most underrated, aggregated authority on pedagogy. It is a true travesty that the Conficician hoards have won this millennia and churned out drones with no reasoning skills of their own. Thank goodness there has been a neo-classical revival of the Trivium in the US. It is my hope that more and more educators discover this book and become passionate about returning to the roots that gave us some of the greatest minds of all time.

Reading this book is like jumping into a cool pond on a summer's day. It is refreshing and quenching.
