Method Foaming Hand Wash
Foaming at the mouth is bad, but foaming at the sink? That’s fun. So pump, lather, and smile. This non-toxic formula, made with naturally derived ingredients, leaves hands soft and clean. Plus, the biodegradable formula doesn’t contain parabens, phthalates, triclosan, or EDTA, is safe for kids to use and never tested on animals.
What’s That Smell?
Method believes clean smells like the cool, cascading scent of water lily and sandalwood. In a world where cleaning products often smell at best, bland and boring, and at worst, noxious and offensive, Method takes pride in making products that smell great.
Founded in 2000, Method creates premium and design-driven home, fabric, and personal care products. Formulated with naturally derived, biodegradable ingredients, Method cleaners put the hurt on dirt. Method is headquartered in San Francisco, CA.
Method believes in happy, healthy homes where potentially toxic chemicals don’t live. That’s why every ingredient used in Method products is comprehensively evaluated by independent environmental research institute MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry) for people and planet safety.
100% Recycled Bottles
Method aims to reduce waste, conserve resources, and incentivize recycling. Almost all of Method’s PET plastic bottles are made from 100% recycled plastic recovered from other bottles or industrial waste and used in place of new plastic, resulting in less waste and a 70% lower carbon footprint.
Method uses ingredients and formulas that degrade into simple and benign components in the environment and follows the highest technical standard for defining biodegradability, whereby at least 70% of organic ingredients break down within 28 days.
Cradle To Cradle
Cradle to Cradle is Method’s mantra for the design of products. That means Method products - how they’re designed, what’s in them, and where they go after use - are all assessed to help support the company in creating products that are “more good,” not simply “less bad.”
Never Tested On Animals
Method believes guinea pigs should never be used as guinea pigs. The company performs absolutely no animal testing on any of its products and does not endorse, request, nor commission any animal testing on its behalf. The company is CCIC Leaping Bunny Program approved.
Public Benefit Corporation
Method believes in using the power of business to create positive social and environmental change. As a public benefit corporation, Method has legally incorporated into its practices the company’s commitment to people, the environment, and stakeholders.
*In order for liquid products to biodegrade, they must be able to breakdown in your municipality’s wastewater treatment facility. You can check with your local utility service to confirm whether or not such treatment for biodegradable liquids is possible in your area. In order for solid products to biodegrade, they must be broken into small pieces and left uncovered in the sunlight. Disposing of a biodegradable product in your normal trash, where it will eventually be disposed of in a landfill, will not allow the product to biodegrade.

I'm now buying a second set of these bottles for my husband's studio.
* I love the foam: it saves the lathering in hand washing and makes it easier
* Smell: other reviewers don't like it, but I have found the soap has a pleasant and subtle smell, definitely not too strong
* Cheap: same base price as the store, except no tax and no drive to the store; better deal to use Amazon
* Quick delivery, no problems
* Bottle / dispenser is simple but solid (not flimsy)
* Has anti-bacterial (a pro for some, a con for others)
* Nothing really comes to mind
Not only is the price found here very reasonable, especially since the big refill bags are available on Amazon too, but the soap smells nice, suds and cleans nicely, and rinses off well.
From time-to-time we have purchased Method locally when a great 2-for-1 type sale appeared, but Method soap seems harder to find around here these days and those great deals are non-existent... so we are very glad to still be able easily get it on Amazon for a good price and with quick delivery.
Can happily say that we've decided to stick with Method from now on too; we recently purchased a couple bottles of soft soap gel and, as compared to Method, that product fails. That soap plopped out of its dispenser in a big gel blob, had no sudsing ability to it at all, then would just slid off down the drain with the first hint of water. Yuck. Glad we found Method.
If you are looking for a well presented hand soap of this type, we recommend Method. This stuff works, smells good and has a great dispenser.
Go for it.
I used to refill my dispensers (over 2 years old, now) from the bulk refills, but I recently found out that this scent was discontinued.
It's easy and inexpensive to make your own refills. Not all soaps work well in foam dispensers. Avoid blends with conditioner as they tend to clog the pump.
For hand soap, I've had excellent results with Suave Kids Wash. You can make pretty shades of blue and pink, or mix them together for lovely shades of purple.
For dish soap, Dawn w/Olay work wonderfully in the dispenser. It cleans the dishes very well and is gentle on the hands.
It's very important to dilute the soap for a foam dispenser. Mix one part soap and four or five parts water, depending on your type of soap. Just experiment a bit for the proper ratio. Add water and stir gradually.
Using the Method foam dispenser, I usually add two ounces of soap and eight ounces of water. It works beautifully every time and lasts forever!
Cost of Refill: About 50 Cents!
Photo: Add about this much soap, then gradually add water and stir slowly.

After using half of it, this becomes completely watery liquid. Even if you shake it, you don't get foamPublished 10 days ago by SR
Bummed out because I didn't get the pear scented soap. I got green tea and aloe. 3 stars for the mistake. But the soap is still good.Published 18 days ago by William Downing
It smells amazing like fresh pears but only stronger. It foamed up well and left my hands feeling nice and clean afterwards. Read morePublished 25 days ago by Aleena

This bottle arrived empty with several other items well soaped up. This is the second time there was leakage and cured me of ordering anything that might leak or spell.Published 1 month ago by kglenno
Really like the scent...and works decently for light-normal dirty dishes. But for greasy stuff this just doesn't cut it. Kinda disappointed in that.Published 1 month ago by danielle
I only like foaming hand soaps and I don't like antibiotics in my hand soaps - Method fits the bill and also has the benefit of looking nice and having a nice variety of scents!Published 2 months ago by Vivian Schirripa
