I was looking for a pair of suede Chelsea boots to wear with my favorite pair of black jeans that was stylish and affordable. When I happened across these affordable options from Metro Charm, I thought ehh, why not? They arrived very quickly (PRIME!) and in a nice basic box. They were wrapped in a good amount of protective tissue paper and stuffed with cardboard for the boots to retain their shape. I pulled them from the box and it all went down hill from there.
From a distance these Chelseas COULD look nice, but sitting in my hand from a few feet away, they were completely unacceptable. The cardboard that was designed to protect the shoe from losing its shape was completely unnecessary as the shoe itself felt like it was made from cheap cardboard wrapped in scratchy construction paper. The soles were incredibly thin, almost like they were painted on, and they was clearly ZERO foot support just from looking at them. To top it all off, my example had a big fat glue stain with a large ball of glue stuck by the neck of the shoe.
I put it on my foot just for the heck of it since it was already at the house and it felt like walking inside an empty tissue box. The toe-box creased with the first step and it let out a creaking groan like an animal in agony. I quickly pulled them from my feet and stuffed them back in the box before the glue smell filled my entire bedroom.
In summary: If you are looking for a pair boots that feel like a tissue box on your feet and look like they were assembled by your niece with a hot glue gun, then these are for you! Seriously though, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for affordable footwear because this is not it.
