I purchased a while ago the Metrokane wine Preserver it came inexpensively and figured it was worth trying. WOW was it ever! Just put the stopper on the bottle, put the little hand pump on the stopper and give it a couple of pumps, and the wine is good to keep.
I give this to my friends and family it made a perfect gift. We use ours every day and it's so easy! Just a few pumps and it keeps as if the bottle was never opened.
Recently, I was out on the market looking for a wine aerators. I have always enjoyed a good glass of wine that had been decanted, but it takes time and space for a decanter. So after doing extensive research I found and bought an inexpensive yet excellent wine aerator- the Metrokane Rabbit Wine Aerating Pourer. This aerator is the perfect solution. It is small and you don't have to plan ahead to be able to enjoy a great glass of wine. It definitely makes your wine taste smoother. It is very enjoyable.
I'm therefore so glad to see this perfect combination put together, what a great deal!!

The aerator is ok...there are better ones though such as the Vinoair Wine Aerator. The Vinoair is a lot less money and does a better job. As others have said, the sealer is not very good at all and likely useless.

A better combo would be the Vinoair for pouring and the Pek Preservino Hand Held Wine Preserver system for resealing using an inert gas. This combo would be only slightly more expensive.

The aerator works great. I've done taste tests with it for every bottle of wine I've opened since receiving it. 90% of the time, we all like the aerated version best. It does really take a cheaper bottle of wine and make it better. I've only tried with red wine so far. It pours well and cleans up easy. I haven't really used the wine stopper/preserver more than once, but it held it's seal for the day or so that I left it, so I'd say it works as well.

I got this set primarily for the stoppers and figured the pourer would be kind of a bonus. The stoppers are pretty disappointing. They seem to fit snuggly and I guess they work in that regard, but they won't hold the suction. I've sucked the air out and came back an hour or two later and the seal had already failed. It's based on a very flimsy little "stick/nub" thing that comes up directly out of the top middle of the stopper. If you push the nub, it disengages the 1 way valve and is supposed to release the vacuum. However, that nub is very very flimsy and it doesn't hold the seal well at all. I didn't even touch the bottle or bump it and it couldn't keep the vacuum seal. I would definitely look into a different brand if you really need a vacuum sealer.

The pourer seems alright. It's pretty large and feels kind of cheap. I doubt the flanges that seal it into the neck of the bottle will last very long: they seem stiff and cheap.

Overall I would definitely not recommend. I gave two stars because the pourer works for now and at least I can use the stoppers as stoppers, minus the vacuum.

I have had this for over 6 months now, it works very well, i definatley taste the difference when i use it. If you dont have the time to decanter, or if you just want your $8 bottle of wine to taste like a $25 bottle of wine, then you need this! Keep it in a well known place, as i always look for mine when i want to open a bottle of wine.

I bought this unit for the wine preserver, which I love (I gave my son my previously owned set), so the aerator was not my primary reason for purchasing. The preserver works easily and excellently. I think the Vinturi Essential Wine aerator works much better than this particular model, so I'd only buy this kit if the aerator was essentially "free."

The rabbit aerating pourer works ok on most wine bottles, but I have yet to find a bottle that the wine preserver fits so that it works properly (if it does work at all). DO NOT BUY THE PRESERVER!! I wish now that I had purchased them separately so that I could return just the preserver.

I read the reviews both bad and good and still thought I'd give this a shot. The preserver doesn't work at all. But I gave an okay rating because the aerating pourer works terrific. So my advice is just buy the aerator by its self.
