One of the most respected names in the mouthpieces business is Meyer, and the Meyer Mouthpiece is one of the reasons why. Meyer Alto Saxophone Mouthpieces have excellent and clear response ranging from the very low notes all the way to altissimo. This along with being very easy-blowing and having a very rich and full tone quality makes this a very good choice for a wide range of saxophonists - from beginner to pro. NOTE: Meyer Mouthpieces include both a ligature and cap.

All of the negative observations aside, its easy to get many sounds out of this with almost any reed. Its also pleasant to the touch.
Only reason for the four stars is really, the ligature. Meyer, get your act together!
or either sell it for less without such a crap ligature that honestly no one will use.
I play the alto saxophone, my previous mouthpiece was Yamaha 6c and I used with François Louis ultimate silver, which was great too, but more loudly. Now i just got my new Meyer 7MM with Rovner dark for study, but I also use the FL and it's the perfect combination.
