Perfect condition, box and figure

I bought this with the intention of not opening it and after reading some of the reviews, I was slightly worried that the box would be morphed from the shipping. Well, they must have heard the cries of the previous buyers on the poor quality of the shipping and handling because I literally just opened the package it came in and they shipped it wrapped in plastic, the back attacked to a big piece of cardboard to keep it from morphing or folding in the shipping process. The box is in perfect condition, better than I've found in most stores after a lot of potential buyers handling but not buying. So, if you're a real stickler on the condition of the box, have no fear because the buyer has clearly received the message and they're sending these out in the best condition I could have ever thought of.
Now, having addressed the previous box issue, the toy itself is amazing and totally worth every dollar. Mezco rarely disappoints with their products and this is a surefire figure that clearly demonstrated the geeks and fanboys/girls that work their. You get what you read in the description:
1) 6" Earthworm Jim in his space-suit; Limited articulation. (Not a playing toy.)
2) 6" Earthworm Jim in his original earthworm form; Bendable and able to pose. :)
3) And his famous blaster.
If you're a huge fan of the old game consoles and love this character, this is a must-buy. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would definitely buy from this seller again. :)

Great figure but only order from amazon if you're going to open it!

Purchased this item a few days ago as an opener. The figure was shoved into a small box and the cardboard was creased right above the package. That doesn't bother me and the figure is great but if you're not going to open him chances are you may want to look elsewhere to purchase him. I had the same problem with the mass effect figures from amazon. That being said onto the toy! Earthworm Jim is a great figure for any fan of the groovy spacesuit wearing superhero worm. He comes with his trusty blaster and a "naked worm" bendy version of Jim. The heads are not interchangeable. Earthworm Jim is a great display piece. He has articulation in the way of ball jointed shoulders and head. He has two swivel joints at his elbow and 3 cut joints for his arms where the "gloves end" and his waist. His legs are articulated but because of the spindly legs I'd rather have this than really tiny joints with easy breakage. He has no problems standing and the airbrushed paint is crisp and clear. I was impressed with the shading around the muscles of the suit. If you're a die hard Earthworm Jim fan like myself you owe it to yourself to purchase this figure. Mezco toys is selling a Metallic painted version on their website and comic con that has a different happy faced version. The only difference is the paint on the figure and gun and the head in the suit. It comes with the same bendy version as the non comic con Jim. The choice is really up to you I like them both! This is my first review in years so I'm sorry for running on!

Nice throwback to the 90s

I didn't know about this figure until I saw it on the ThinkGeek site. I knew I had to have it, luckily Amazon had it with free shipping, so I went that route.

When the figure arrived, I was blown away. The colors, the way his head moves it was great. The head on the main figure moves kind of like a joystick, its also comes with an awesome plasma blaster- just like in the games. The best thing about this product is that the figure comes with a bendy figure of Jim in his earthworm form that you can shape and form in many fun ways.

The one con is that there aren't many points of articulation on the figure. The only things that move on the figure are the arms and his head.

Overall, this is a great figure. It comes in a nice package(standard bubble case) and you could probably display it without opening it. Personally, I wanted to play with it and keep it on my table. If you were a fan of EWJ like I was, get this figure. It feels like 1994 again!

I used to collect the EWJ toys and I was really excited with this one came out. Like another reviewer said mine also came with a crease in the top right of the package. Not sure if this is Amazon's fault or not, I purchased one signed by Doug TenNapel on ebay and it had the exact same crease. No biggie for me, but others might be bothered.

I have yet to see the metallic version on here, I'm aware its for SDCC only so if you're looking for that Mezco's online store seems to have it for the cheapest price.

The figure has no leg articulation, you can only move it to have various gun poses. The only thing that bothers me about this figure is how Jim is looking to the side, I really wish he was looking forward. The paint job is amazing on this figure, I find myself admiring it every day while at the computer, not something I normally do with my figures too much anymore.

Why couldn't they include a Snot figure as well?!

Oh well, sure hope Mezco does Psycrow and Princess What's-her-name.

As long as you know what you're getting is more like a statue with a few articulated points and not a true action figure - you'll love it. This thing is amazing and at the price, totally worth it if you're a fan of Earthworm Jim. The paint is beautifully done, giving the musculature of the suit a real depth, while the gun is cartoonishly proportioned but again, painted excellently. Jim's face and limited articulation doesn't give many options for posing, but nonetheless it still looks great. It also comes with a separate, bendable Jim out of his suit, so you can have him hold...himself. (after removing the normal head first, of course!)

I purchased this figure and I was blown away with the level of detail on it is rather impressive. The artwork on the box is actually even better than the figure.

The bad news about the figure is the legs are not movable. So it is basically locked into one stance, but since I don't plan to take him out of the package it doesn't bother me.

The problem with the crease on the package wasn't on mine so it might just be from Amazon and not from the independent sellers on here.
