Really stunning photos make this book. There are other books out there (many by Yefim Gordon) that give extensive coverage to the nuts and bolts of the design and history of the MiG-21, but this is a visual record of this infamous Soviet plane.

Perfect for modelers, I found it very interesting to see how each version changed, the close ups of every aspect of the plane I enjoyed. The book shows you different camouflage schemes used over the years, weapons, inside the cockpit, everything is there to include B&W photos of the plane being serviced. There are even photos of a MiG-21 that the US got their hands on in 1969.

As an aviation buff, I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who has an interest in Soviet aviation, cold war history and a visual story of one of the worlds greatest fighters.
