I look forward to Mia's men all meeting and maybe Betty finding out there is more than one of them. I think them all living together over time might be quite interesting. So many ways the author can put more obstacles for Mia and her men to overcome as they move forward. I look forward to the next book due ut in spring of 2018 Mia' wedding. I believe this author is only going to get better with each new book. To me if you LOVE RH you must read this series there is no supernatural like most RH so it is a nice change of pace.
I have always wanted to read this because I have always wanted to read contemporary rh romance but I know at the same time that contemporary is kind of a challenge in a reverse harem settings.
I'm still interested how the series will go, though.
For those of you who like a slow burn, Mia's Men is great, but cleverly, for those of you who want to hit the ground running, you folk won't be disappointed either - that's the beauty of rh!
Mia's Men is hot and sexy, it's for mature readers and certainly sets the scene well for the series going forward. I adored the Englishness of the characters I got to know in this first book, the stately scenery, and the British dialogue.
The guys we meet are super sexy, very different, and they all have particular tastes, kinks and desires when it come to bedroom fun. There's also a really nice bit of tension as Mia begins to juggle her emotions and theirs. Having several boyfriends is never going to be easy, even if it is a lot of fun.
I give Mia's Men 5 * because it's well written, a clever plot line, it's a nice platform for Mia to build her harem from and it's left me wanting more....roll on book 2!
I had a rough time with this story. I liked the set-up, I liked the characters, I really like the sexy times. However, it felt disjointed to me. It didn't truly seem like an RH. I like everyone being in one place with the lead female being the center of their world. With Elias and Alex living in another city and being so busy, it seemed as if they were a fantastic weekend fling and that she was more involved with Tom. I'm hopeful that they all become more connected and we get much more quality time together in the next book.
I enjoyed the start of this new series. Mia is very strong and level headed. She has a couple of moments where you are like "really? Did you really just say that?" BUT Mia catches herself and makes it right. So yea, she's not perfect but none of us are. It makes her more real in my opinion. The guys are all really fun and loveable. Tom, the gardener, knows what Mia is going through with the loss of her father and he becomes her shoulder to lean on. Elias and Alex are sophisticated and fun. They bring a whole other side to Mia's life.
While we did have some intense sexy time, there was a lot more to this book. We spend time with everyone and take some adventures. Here's why I gave this 4 stars instead of 5. I wanted more. I felt like we got to know Thomas on a deeper level but not the other guys. Maybe that's coming in the future books so not a big deal. I did want more of how it all came together though. I don't want to get spoilerish but I needed a little more info on how the conversation went about them ALL being together. The blurb tells you that someone is into sharing with his best friend but what about other men. How did they work that out and all agree?
All in all I really did enjoy this book and the characters and I'm really looking forward to reading book two.
