The extra tiles are also a nice addition. They are well made and very different artistically from the tile set in the base game, since most are set outside. Tree branch overlays can make existing levels more interesting.
I'm only partway through the new campaign, but it's good so far. It offers more replayability than the original Mice and Mystics, since at several points you can make choices that impact further levels. For example [minor spoiler alert] at the end of one level you have to defeat an enemy before she escapes. If you fail, the next level if chasing that enemy through the wilds. If you succeed, the next level is something else entirely.
The only downside I've seen is that some of the new rules are a bit more complicated that the base game. I've had to refer back to the rulebook quite a few times to make sure I'm playing correctly. I expect that will change after playing the game more, though.
If you liked the original Mice and Mystics, this will work for you as well.
The rules take some time to learn, highly recommend the website to learn the basics.
Takes about an hour per chapter.
