Michael C. Braswell(1947-) grew up in south Georgia(Moultrie)during the 1950's. He earned degrees in Psychology and Counseling from Mercer University, The University of West Georgia, University of Georgia, and the University of Southern Mississippi. A former prison psychologist,he is currently Professor Emeritus at East Tennessee State University where he taught courses on ethics, peacemaking and social/criminal justice issues. He is also a Consulting Editor for Routledge, an academic publisher. Michael Braswell was selected as a Distinguished Professor in Teaching at East Tennessee State University and as Educator of the Year by the Southern Criminal Justice Association. The Anderson Outstanding Dissertation Award was named after him at the annual Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences conference. He has authored/coauthored/edited more than 20 books on ethics, peacemaking, and the spiritual journey, including author/coauthor of 2 novels and 4 short story collections.
