I feel that all people should be able to read this book.
I look forward to the next book by Sheri McGuinn
No spoilers, except to say the consequences of thinking and acting impulsively are pointed out kindly (nobody gets seriously hurt as a result) but emphatically, so parents shouldn't be concerned about the risk of validating action without forethought. The search for identity is spread evenly, is not heavy-handed, and will make an impression on young readers without giving them the sense they're being "educated" (rarely a good thing in leisure reading). As for the mystery, it started off with a tragic pop and built to a level of tension such that I couldn't put the book down.
Available in paper and e-reader versions. I recommend this book for older 'tweens and young teens.
