About Michelle Lynn Swope

Michelle Lynn Swope, a complex, gentle young woman with autism and schizophrenia, writes poems. Because of her classical education, Michelle loves words. She shares her own words with you in these simple collections.

Michelle began writing poetry as a young child. Once scattered around the house on scraps of paper, the poems intrigued and touched those who read them. Read Michelle's full story in the book Simply Classical: A Beautiful Education for Any Child (Memoria Press).

When not writing poetry, Michelle enjoys singing French songs, being with friends, playing Challenger Sports, going to church, and working as an Activities Aide at a local nursing home. She loves her family and her pet cat Silky.

When Dr. Gene Veith, professor emeritus of literature and author of more than 25 books, read Michelle's poems, he urged her to place them in a collection. Thanks to the talented people at Memoria Press, these collections were born. We hope they will touch and delight you.

Michelle calls her first collection "Through Time's Looking Glass" and her second "God's Harvest."

Michelle's twin brother Michael created the first book's interior illustrations, and the twins' homeschooling friend Chloe Cunningham provided the cover art for Through Time's Looking Glass.
