Author, Pastor, Preacher, Teacher, Wife and Mother, Michelle Steele is widely- known for her ability to reach broad audiences with her passion and grace. Her message of over-coming pressure and self-realization before Jesus Christ applies to people of every background. She crosses barriers of denominations, languages, cultural differences, and life experiences with a straightforward message and unwavering passion for people.
At the age of 15, Steele ran away from home and into a dangerous life of sexual abuse, drugs, prostitution, crime, and desperation. Only God could have changed her world from a defeated prisoner of the flesh to the victorious woman of God she is now. By renewing Steele to the life she leads now, God has proven His ability to create all things new in a life that is yielded to Him. From the depths of her own experience, Steele speaks truth in determination.
"My desire is to empower, to see change occur in people's lives," Steele says. "The miraculous change that God's Word has brought to my life has influence, and I want to use this experience to impact others." Steele uses the Word of God, accompanied with her lessons-learned, to be an honest illustration of a woman with a past that does not define her future. Michelle inspires men and women to realize their destinies.
Michelle and her husband, Philip Steele, pastor Faith Builders International in De Soto, KS, a thriving church that vows to break down walls that divide by building relationships that surpass barriers. They reach the youth of their community by creating a unique atmosphere that allows teens and children to grow in their knowledge and love for God. They minister to the needs of men and women in prisons throughout Kansas.
Michelle Steele is a woman with her heart wrapped around ministry and a passion for people that drives her to share the love of God she knows so well. She is truly an apostle of community outreaches, founding educational programs such as "Mirror Image" for young women and "Hoops and Bible" for the young men in the Kansas City juvenile detention centers. She has had great response from many who were touched by her words and changed for the better.
