Kickboard, bag and trolley in one: Our well-known Micro Luggage has started the next round with a range of new and optimized features. As previously, the handlebar is based on the principle of weight transfer. The rider applies weight appropriately, and curve riding can be mastered with ease. Weight: 4.6 kg, normally approved as hand luggage, case capacity 26 liters. Operation: For your safety, the closing/opening mechanism is designed to lock when under pressure. Applying gentle pressure the *opposite* direction while pulling up on the chevron-colored cord allows the locking mechanism to be easily disengaged. To unfold: Gently press the deck towards the luggage bag while pulling up the chevron cord; lift until deck clicks into position. To fold-down: Gently press the scooter bag away from the standing deck while pulling up on the chevron-colored cord; close until product clicks into position.

I purchased two of these, one in the colorful pattern and one in black. They are the same basically but the colorful one had a speaker system. I didn't get to use the speaker since the bag broke the first time I used it.

Please save yourself the headache with this one.

Pros: Fun while it lasts
Cons:
Doesn't last long,
HEAVY (as heck!),
Not intelligently designed (by that I mean it's difficult to operate, just getting the scooter to open and close takes lots of steps-something that should be very simple these guys designed this terribly - making simple things very complicated and laborious).

My experience:
I bought two of these after seeing someone on one in London Airport. I tried to get them online in London but they wouldn't deliver to the US and were charging $800 for each. In NYC I saw someone ekes using one and HAD TO HAVE ONE- I thought it would be great as a travel often and this could save me time in the terminal - so I purchased a colorful one for myself and a black one for my spouse. The arrived just in time for my next trip and I was so happy.

To be honest at first use they felt heavy and while I couldn't get much in the bag, due to the way the actual luggage compartment was designed I was still excited and happy about the idea of whizzing thru the airport just as the guy I saw in the London terminal do many weeks ago. We struggled thru TSA with the heavy bags and once we had cleared security we couldn't wait to open these up and whiz by everyone on the way to the gate.

And whizz past everyone we did,mint was GREAT, not the easiest to scooter along on, but all things considered we were speeding by the masses in the airport on a piece of luggage so complains can't be many.Read more ›

Love the cover of the luggage, awesome carbon feel. The Zip works really well too. But the purpose of not allowing me to unfold the entire cover due to the laptop compartment is a minus point for me. The restriction should tie to the cover and allowing the bottom of the case to be easily reach. The mini bag for the back wheel is useful. Cautious, doesn't ride well on carpet terminal. Better pull than ride on a carpet.

Bought 2 of these for my 8 year old twins! They only used the micro scooter so I bought these for travel!! These are awesome...my kids love riding these and never get bored. The scooter is built to last and the luggage is very nicely made!! Overall happy with my very expensive purchase! :) the only con is that it is heavy......it will last for years and I can see my kids using it for a long time!

Its defiantly my favourite luggage and has enough storage space for the well trained traveler, the only issue I found was reliability especially with regards to the handlebar mechanism which is prune to failure and can get stuck open / is noisy when using as trolly.
Other than that, great piece of luggage, well worth the money.

I looked after my stuff! and this product was no exception partly because it was so expensive but mainly because I planned to take it to business meetings and needed it to look presentable, but it didn't last 3 uses before falling apart!
First thing to go was the zip,
Then the retractable handle stopped retracting.

Useless.
Out of warranty
[sigh..]

I really like this, because my kids really like this. And just about everybody who's ever seen it as my kid goes scooting along in the airport--with all his belongings scooting along with him-- they turn and give a double-take as he goes by ..particularly the parents. The mechanisms are top notch on the micro-branded luggage. I'm comparing against my Tumi luggage sets (of which I have many). The handle extension mechanism can get "notchy" but it literally feels just like the Tumi's "notchiness." and a jiggle on the handle, and a solid whack downward and re-extending swiftly will always help. Forcing it with brute force will...probably break it. I can't say whether the knock-off brands are the same quality. The zipper really could have been a heavier-duty spec. I suppose rough handling by luggage handlers might one day blow out the zipper. But I've checked it in before (in fact, just a day ago), with no problems, so while I would have preferred a better spec...it hasn't let me down yet.

I received my Micro Luggage about 2 weeks ago and just used it for the first time on a trip. The bag and scooter parts seem very well made and do not feel flimsy at all. I traveled with a 14" laptop, work documents, a change of clothes and sneakers in my bag. The bag was full and not unreasonably heavy with everything packed in. The bag was not as easy to maneuver around the airport as my usual carry-on luggage when being pulled, but once in scooter-mode the advantages to this product made everything worthwhile. Moving through the airport was quick and easy on the scooter, even on carpeted areas. Folding and unfolding the scooter at escalators and at security was smooth and simple with a pull of the lock tab, and the whole thing fit well through the TSA scanner with no issues. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will definitely be using it on all of my business trips.
