For those of you new to this idea:
When one writes a very short story constrained by 140 characters (now up to 280 characters) then one chooses their words VERY carefully. The magic here is just how much information is packed into those short sentences. Almost like MicroSFF took a large file and zipped it into a tiny archive.
Each person that reads the story may have their own expression of thought about what that story really means, and that my friends is the true beauty of this collection.
Many of these stories will seem shallow, until you wake up at 3AM and realize the deeper implications of what you read. That story unfolds, expands in your mind and you begin to extend it along logical or emotional paths. You become a partner in the dialog, the ideas. And you realize that this path may be unique to you, that it stimulated something already in your mind.
I feel that reading these micro-stories is best done at a slow pace. I might almost suggest that a serious reading of this book be paced at about one story per day . . . because each story - when you allow the time - will unfold in detail in your mind from the compressed limitations of the media. If you read all the stories at one sitting, without time to reflect, you might miss out on the expansion that occurs in your mind.
I loved this book, only hope that we might see more collections in the future - as there is a vast wealth of these stories that @MicroSFF has tweeted over the years.

The book is 365 science fiction 'tweets' so at first glance would appear to have a very limited scope in terms of length of the piece but the author manages to get around this limitation and produce lots of excellent short stories. The stories are all one off pieces rather than a narrative allowing you to dip into the book anywhere without spoiling the story or needing some previous knowledge to understand them.
Very entertaining and an excellent present for Science fiction enthusiasts (I have now bought 4 copies including my own).
I bought softback book copies as I'm old fashioned that way but I'm sure the e-versions are just the same.
