I ordered this product and seller shipped very quickly. I received the bypass packaged well with instructions earlier than estimated delivery date. Great job!!! I installed the bypass and it works great no problems with install and it was quick and easy. Would def buy again, and probably will as I will be helping a friend install a Pioneer head unit in their car in a few weeks. This is better than buy the fat relays that take up more space behind the radio and then you have to figure out and hope you get the right wire to the right terminal. This device takes all the guess work out of it. Video now plays without any problems. Very happy with the product. Well work the money.
Easy to install with easy to follow instructions. Just works! Someone had mentioned that the one they recieved didn't look like the picture and didn't work all the time. The one I received looks exactly like the picture and works 100% of the time!
I have a Pioneer AVH-3400BH. If you have a AVH series Pioneer you need this bybass. Just grounding the wire on the Pioneer won't work. If the unit detects the ground when it's powered on, then it won't enable the DVD system. This bypass delays grounding the unit and tricks it into working. It's a must have.
Works good . I like to listen to music videos while driving which makes this very helpful . Only thing I would recommend is if your going to get a double din installed check the place that's going to install for you and see if they have this . Most already have these for around the same price so you won't need to wait on shipping .
Used this on my new JVC KW-NT500HDT headunit and it works just fine. The last headunit i installed was a JVC KW-NT1, and i simply connected the parking brake wire to ground, and that did the trick. I suspect that the same thing could be done rather than using this thing, but i decided to play it safe and drop 10 bucks on this thing; I was half tempted to cut this one open and see what sort of resistors and stuff they used in here, but i didn't. If you have the time to play with things, try jumpering the green parking brake wire on your headunit harness to the ground wire, and you may not even need to buy this thing. ADDITIONAL NOTE: some GPS headunits also use GPS location to determine vehicle speed (the JVC KW-NT500HDT does), and they may evaluate whether your car is travelling over 3MPH (or some similar speed). Therefore you may have to combine this part with an additional fix to work around your headunit's safety features. I've heard that you can put a 3ohm resistor on the VSS wire (Vehicle Speed Sensor, it hooks into your speedometer in the dash, and operates using a pulsing signal) and it will slow down the pulses enough to always appear less than 3mph; however, there is very little information out there on this, and i have no interest in messing with my speedometer. I was lucky enough that on the newer JVC headunit, it will still let you play videos while driving with just this kit; it does pop up with a message saying that your VSS wire is not connected, but you can click OK and continue watching.

Micro bypass worked on my Appradio 1 when it first came out. I sold the car that had that one in it! So I recently purchased a refurb'd Appradio 1 and the same bypass did not work correctly. Luckily I had ordered two of the AppRadio 2 micro bypasses for another install, which I used with the refurb'd Appradio 1 without issues.
All I can say is that this WORKED perfectly, and installed simply, on my 2012 Tacoma with a Pioneer AVH-P6300BT head unit. No messing with switches or the parking break, which I was dreading after looking at the Taco forums. Thought this was going to be my biggest headache with install....not so. Pray it keeps doing its job.
Installed this with a pioneer AVH-P440BH in my Honda Pilot. It is very small and works as advertised, and was well worth the ten bucks compared to buying a relay and wiring it myself.
One note: this head unit has a microphone input to perform automatic equalization, and this feature will not work with the override installed.

I'm not sure if you really need this, or if you could just wire the sensor wire to a good ground, but what the heck. It was cheap enough, and I didn't want to take the radio out again, so I went for it.
It works as stated, and I have the peace of mind knowing this relay is working in my behalf.
