Great price! Poor packaging material. Small envelope with a couple bent pins but none severely bent and easy fix. You get 4 for 5$ more then Adafruit's and these ADC work just as good and are very accurate. Here is my test results from all 4. Tested two analog outputs on each chip, one with a Photoresistor on CH0 and a Thermistor on CH1.
Chips tested and results:
1. CH0 = 408 (1.33v) | CH1 = 594 (1.92v)
2. CH0 = 387 (1.25v) | CH1 = 591 (1.91v)
3. CH0 = 385 (1.24v) | CH1 = 592 (1.91v)
4. CH0 = 380 (1.22v) | CH1 = 592 (1.91v)
Conclusions: This is just as good as Adafruit one and a lot cheaper. The numbers on CH0 differ slightly more then CH1 because that is the photoresistor and the sunlight moving passed my closed curtains can even cause these changes or my movement in the board and position when switching out chips. If at least 2 channels are working on these chips then I should have no problems with the rest and neither should you.
Great product. Great buy. Needs better packaging but hey... they all work and produce no heat. Make sure you use correct resistors.

Worked perfect for my DIY hydroponic automation project. I’m using 4 of 8 channels and have room to grow! I’m a novice when it comes to the spec sheet, but, I learned a valuable lesson and burned one of the chips. I’m glad it came with 4! Make sure the VREF is under the VDD. For example, don’t hook this up to 3.3v and expect to read an analog value at 5V. Your wife will not like the new air freshener you bought. If you want to read 5V, hook your VREF up to 5V and then Your channels can also read up to 5V with high accuracy. The Adafruit tutorial on using the mcp3008 was spot on.

Devices arrived loose in a plastic bag. There was no protection against bent pins, and more importantly, NO conductive foam or other protection against static discharge. Anyone who knows anything about handling integrated circuits knows you don't handle and ship these devices like that. This may very well be the reason behind some of the other reviews that indicated partial or total device failures. It remains to be seen whether they'll work for me but I don't have a lot of confidence.

When I found out that the Raspberry Pi doesn't have analog inputs I was a little taken aback. When I found that the MCP3xxx chips were the go to standard for adding analog ports I decided to give them a shot. It uses a lot of GPIO pins for the chip, but these have 8 different analog ports so it's a good trade off. It seems to be more accurate than the ADC pins on my ESP32. If I ever need more of these, this is the place to get them. Packaging was minimal, but sufficient.

All doesn't work properly. Only channels 6&7 r working but not accurate. Channels from 0 to 5 read always a small reading if i use them or not, but not correct. Maybe I'll upload pictures of this if I connect any of them later. Now instead of them I use HiLetgo ADS1115 I2C and working good until now
