Top Customer Reviews
The glove fits my hand very well, but I can see that it might be too small for others. I normally wear a woman's size small glove. This Microplane glove is quite flexible though, and I'm certain it would easily fit a woman's size medium or even large. One man's review here indicates he struggled but managed to get it on his bigger hand. I agree that it would be helpful if the manufacturer offered another one or two size options.
Obviously the glove will need cleaning after using it to hold food. While the glove is machine washable, it's not machine dryable. Here's what I do to clean the glove in between machines washings => with the glove still on my hand, I squeeze some dish soap onto it and then wash it under warm running water with the help of a small kitchen cleaning brush if needed. Then I rinse it, blot most of the water off with a hand towel, and let it air dry. I've had no problem with lingering odors using this or the machine method of washing.
The package came with the glove in a plastic bag with a small plain white label that says "microplane..." but there's no label of any sort attached to the glove itself like one of the reviewer's photo showed. I wonder if it's a counterfeit and thus the size is way off? I bought it from a third party seller but fulfilled by Amazon Prime.
with all the possibilities for severe injuries - but not one drop of blood was shed using this microplane glove.
Impervious to (extremely sharpened) Santoku knives, Mandoline, Cuisinart blade, graters, peelers, etc., all in
the hands of kitchen amateurs! We were disappointed Giada DiLaurentis failed to watch
the Hand Surgery, Ltd. presentation the day before the Food Network LIVE Thanksgiving drama.
Oh, Whoops!! and ouch.
