Great Grater!!
I saw this grater recommended by America’s Test Kitchen and I thought if they like it, I will too. I had one from many years ago and it was all rusty. This one shouldn’t rust.I recently made a zucchini blueberry bread and wow! This grater made quick work of shredding the zucchini. All the blades are super sharp so I wouldn’t use it without the recommended cut resistant glove. I just used a kitchen brush to get any pieces out and then hand washed very carefully.

I have had.... tons of cheese graters. Literally just tons. I don't even KNOW how much I have spent on cheese graters!

To be honest, I don't even know what I've ever done to the Cheese Grater Community, but they... hate me. They break. They always break. The results are never good.

You're sad. You're out another $5-10 on a cheese grater (and dang, that thing looked tough, too!!), but what's worse? You have no grated cheese! Well, if you're like me, you find a way to make it work just a LITTLE longer. . . but I digress.

When you're tired of the viscous, ever-repeating cycle of buying, breaking and replacing, buy this beauty.

I am so serious when I say I love this thing! It's super sturdy, it has rubber bottoms that prevent it from sliding around, the back panel is removable so you can grate directly into a bowl by laying it across the top of one. It's sharp, it's got a nicely sized handle that works well for both mine and my husband's hands. It can also work as a limited slicer! It's not adjustable, but the thickness is great for potato chips (thicker ones) or nice, even slices of cheese!

I know you're debating right now. How crazy is it to buy such an expensive CHEESE GRATER??

This is a fantastic product. The reason for only a 4 star review is a vertical crack in the frame holding the grating plates. I have had my Microplane 4-sided grater for 10 years now. The grater part still works great but after the first few years, the frame holding the grating plates cracked. The crack has now gotten to be at least 5 mm wide by 1 cm long. If I could get a new body for the plates? I would be so excited!

I am a professional cook and I carry the Microplane Box grater in my tool bag. It comes with a heavy duty blade cover. It is awesome. The removable panel on the fine grater side is great for getting every last bit of zest, ginger, garlic or what have you, and makes it easy to clean. The larger grater is wonderfully sharp and works awesomely! The only thing I do not care for is the tiny mandoline slicer on the side panel. It is really non functional as it has a plastic ridge below the blade which obstructs the path of whatever is being sliced, causing a bump making it uneven and slightly more dangerous than it already is. Just having that up turned blade always facing you is slightly unsettling. One suggestion I would make is to offer the large cheese as an additional large panel to swap out for the large zest grater.
The derlicate ribbons in makes on hard cheeses are too good to pass up but a larger panel would be nice for professional purposes, I would not however want to forgoe the large zest panel so make another to swap out. For that matter they could re-engineer a mandoline panel(s) that would be much more effective. flat cut, gaufrette.
This box cutter is great. I am giving them out for presents to all my friends and the Amazon price is the lowest I could find.

Este rallador ralla de verdad. Es cómodo y facil de usar, las cuchillas que tiene son muy buenas. Mejor que cualquier otro rallador que haya tenido. Si comes bastante pasta y te gusta el queso rallado fresco, este es el mejor rallador. Además, viene con una funda dura para poder guardarlo sin peligro de cortarse. Yo ya lo tenía y estaba encantada. Se lo regalé a una persona que ralla queso casi a diario y me dijo que nunca había tenido un rallador tan bueno. Totalmente recomemdable también para rallar muchos alimentos diferentes. Aunque parezca caro, merece la pena 100%.
